I've warned for months that a @JetBlue-@SpiritAirlines merger would have led to fewer flights and higher fares.
@JusticeATR and @USDOT were right to stand up for consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation.
This is a Biden win for flyers! https://t.co/lJFGS3ucv3
@HennepinAtty This is a easy to prove Felony 3rd degree riot case on all involved. Exactly what the statute is for. Mary is blowing smoke up your ass with this bullshit misdemeanor for only the one individual.
The City of Minneapolis is not involved in the federal operations being reported around Minnesota today, and as of 9:30 a.m., MPD has not been asked to assist with the execution of federal warrants.
This guy is dead wrong about MPD officers.
1st. They are extremely under staffed. They cannot keep up with the calls & reports
2nd. When the call comes out - the officer has to catch these kids in the ct or have evidence the ones in the area committed the crime
3rd. If they have evidence (JDC) won’t accept them anyway for a property crime. Doesn’t matter how many car windows get smashed. A supervisor can override admission but they will get kicked within a couple hours. If it’s a violent crime they can possibly be held until 130 pm where they will see the judge and be released
4th. Mary’s new policy says you can’t even interview juveniles anymore.
5th - MPD can’t pursue these car thieves in vehicles, they can’t use stop sticks and they can’t box a stolen in.
6th - Hennepin juvenile prosecutors won’t charge even when they have a great case because juveniles deserve a thousand chances
It goes on and on….
Even with all of this officers still try there best to catch these kids. It’s not excuses, it’s reality.
This is such an insane excuse for Minneapolis police officers to give for not doing their jobs and arresting the people who have been breaking into cars all over the city for months.
San Francisco is now a model for how to fight crime.
A few years ago it averaged 86 car break-ins per day. Today: 15.
SF did two things:
1. Got a DA that prosecutes criminals: Following the successful recall of Chesa Boudin, DA Brooke Jenkins started prosecuting prolific offenders and said so loudly. Crime dropped every year since she took office.
2. Put tech to use: In 2024, SF activated 400 license plate readers and deployed 80 drones citywide. This tech feeds officers live intelligence on suspects in motion. Drones alone have assisted in 1,000+ arrests since then. The technology lets authorities solve crimes as they happen rather than depend on much more intensive, legally perilous post hoc investigations (which ironically are often more intrusive than using tech).
The results:
- Car break-ins down 85%
- Robbery down 30%
- Burglary down 33%.
- Homicides hit their lowest level since 1954.
Plate readers, drones, a prosecutor who prosecutes. That's the whole formula!
Austin has the opposite approach. License plate cameras are effectively banned. Jail bookings are down despite repeat offenders victimizing innocent people regularly. Bond violations went from 37 in 2020 to 250 last year.
SF proved crime is a choice. Austin, so far, keeps making a different one.
Hennepin County is not a good steward of your tax dollars. 1,000’s of ridiculous county jobs added since 2020 with large migration out personal & business
I love data visualizations📊
I wanted to see IRS Migration data, this is for Hennepin County in 2020-2021.
Hennepin County lost ≈ $650M in adjusted gross income (one year) to other counties in Minnesota.

@StarTribune Perfect. State officials pushed this. State government should be next - don’t comply! Don’t comply paying taxes, if local police try to arrest your “neighbors” for domestic abuse or rape, get in those cops faces! It’s your right!
@thauserkstp Which is a statistically extremely rare crime but real crime goes unchecked. Stronger laws for felon in possession - very common - denied, stronger laws for fleeing a police officer in motor vehicle - very common - denied!
@robin4mpls Both consent decrees said more training. They have no good place to train. You said you believe in the consent decrees, now you’re against them? A training facility is not cop city, fake news.
@sorenmpls Bizzaro world - Minneapolis city council forced state/federal consent decree on MPD which specifically states they need more training. The don’t have a functioning training facility. They decide to build one & the same crazy city council screams foul!
@NortonMpls@FrederickMelo 4000 illegals taken from metro during Biden. No issues. Plus 1,000’s of federal agents in the state so this could be any federal agent. The TDS is real.
@TheStPaulRacco1 The Whipple building houses thousands of federal agents, almost all of whom wear plain clothes. Your premise is wrong. Not only that, they are American citizens & have the right to eat lunch in America without idiots bothering them. Illegals do not have that right.
