@VictimOfPaws Ohhh, other way around with me ig haha. Mostly PL and the odd big game here and there in La Liga. You should play Fantasy Premier League if you haven't! Makes your weekends feel great more often than not 🙂
@Sulochanaah @adhee1673 I'd suggest, In God's Path by Robert Hoyland, The Emergence of Islam: Classical Traditions in Contemporary Perspective 2nd ed by Gabriel Said Reynolds and The Qur'an and Its Biblical Subtext by the same author. I'm sure OP would've come across these works
It is staggering enough that Bernardo Silva was used at left-back in an important game at Arsenal in 2023 — even more so when you learn the original idea was even more far-fetched.
“In the beginning, his first idea was to play me at centre-back, and I actually trained at centre-back,” Bernardo tells The Athletic.
“Arsenal away, the one where I played left-back. So Nathan (Ake) was playing left-back, me and Ruben (Dias) centre-backs, and when he called me to his office, I just thought, ‘Wow…’
“He said, ‘Can you do it?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I will try for sure. You know it’s not my natural position, but I will do it if you want me to do it.’
“Then we trained after one day and he said, ‘I think it’s better if we change, Nathan comes to the centre and you go left-back.’”

These two giant tortoises have been fighting each other for over 120 years. According to the zoo, one tortoise stole the other’s food 120 years ago, and from that day on they became enemies. There hasn’t been a single day where they haven’t fought for a while
@Muhamm_7d@Ihunanya_chi But doesn't the Quran commanding it's original audience (Christians) to refer to the injeel and judge by it presuppose that the "real injeel" was in circulation during Muhammad's time in the hijaz? If not doesn't it make allah stupid to ask them to refer to a lost/corrupt book?
@iancbeavis@doofgeek4011 No, not really. The gods can have an existence but they are nothing compared to YHWH, therefore are not really god in the way YHWH is. The problem ultimately is how term the term "god" is to be understood. Heiser's stuff are good on this question.
@litchfieldrives Not sure he was looking comfortable after lunch, probably why he thought not to farm the strike at the end bc he knew he would get out easily
Athanasius on the necessity and reason for the incarnation:
By this act, he restored humanity from corruption to incorruption, granting new life through death, by uniting us to his body and resurrection. Death vanished from humanity as fire consumes straw.
