To every Trinamool Congress leader, party worker, booth agent, volunteer, supporter, and believer in the Maa-Mati-Manush philosophy 👇
Buy every packet of sobuj aabir you can find. Stockpile it. Hoard it. Because on 4th May, there is going to be a very serious shortage. The entire state will be painted green. Rabindrasangeet will buzz from every corner of Bengal. And yes, we will play a little DJ too.
Get ready. The celebration has already begun in our hearts. The streets just need to catch up.
Joy Bangla! Maa-Mati-Manush Zindabaad!
BJP and its B-team, the ‘Vanish Commission’, are sending Observers to Bengal to alter the election outcome through unfair means. These “Observers” are individuals with special proximity to the BJP; individuals with criminal antecedents; individuals accused in corruption and bribery cases.
But the real “Observers” are the people of Bengal. And they have been watching. They have watched every rupee of Bengal's rightful funds withheld. Every legitimate voter erased. Every constitutional office weaponised against this state. Every attempt to bend Bengal to its knees and force it to beg for what is rightfully its own.
Now, the time has come for the people to respond in the only language the BJP understands. Straight-out rejection. The people of Dhupguri and Kalchini are fully prepared. Every single vote for our candidates Dr. Nirmal Chandra Roy and Shri Birendra Bara will land like a bolt of lightning on a party that mistook Bengal's patience for submission.
Your reckoning is here. Brace for impact.
Today, I place before the people my 10 ‘Protigya’ for Bengal.
My commitments span every pillar of governance, strengthening support for women, youth, farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and the elderly; advancing education and healthcare; ensuring housing and piped drinking water for every household; strengthening administration; and transforming Bengal into the Gateway of trade for Eastern India.
Through these pledges, I reiterate my resolve to sustain the momentum of progress with renewed vigour in the fourth term of my Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, and to further strengthen Bengal’s position as one of the leading states of the nation.
Bengal has always led with conviction, knowing the way, going the way and showing the way. Smt. @MamataOfficial’s 10 ‘Protigya’ reflect this very ethos, deeply rooted in the lived realities, needs and aspirations of our people.
From empowering women, youth, farmers and senior citizens with dignity and opportunity, to ensuring a pucca home and piped water for every household; from taking healthcare to the doorstep through Duare Chikitsa to upgrading Government schools with modern infrastructure, this is a vision that seamlessly blends compassion with ambition.
Coupled with a renewed push for industrial growth and stronger administrative efficiency, it charts a future that is both progressive and inclusive. This vision is born not out of abstraction, but from constant engagement with the people. It is now our collective responsibility to translate these commitments into reality by strengthening the hands that have tirelessly worked for Bengal’s welfare.
The manner in which the Election Commission has singled out and targeted Bengal is not just unprecedented- It is deeply alarming. Even before the formal notification of elections, more than 50 senior officials including the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP, ADGs, IGs, DIGs, District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police have been summarily and arbitrarily removed. This is not administrative action rather this is political interference of the highest order.
The systematic politicisation of institutions meant to remain impartial is a direct assault on the Constitution. At a time when a deeply flawed SIR process is underway and over 200 lives have already been lost, the conduct of the Commission reflects a clear bias and an uncomfortable submission to political interests, continuing to put the people of Bengal at risk.
Supplementary electoral rolls are still not published, in clear disregard of the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s directions, leaving citizens anxious and uncertain. Meanwhile, senior officers from critical agencies like IB, STF and CID are being selectively removed and dispatched out of the state, pointing to a calculated attempt to cripple Bengal’s administrative machinery.
Why is the BJP so desperate? Why this relentless targeting of Bengal and its people? What satisfaction do they derive from forcing citizens, even after 78 years of Independence, to stand in queues and prove their own citizenship?
The contradictions in the Commission’s actions expose its complete collapse of credibility. It claims that removed officers should not be assigned election duties, yet within hours, the same officers are sent out as election observers. The appointment of the Commissioners of Police of Siliguri and Bidhannagar as observers, without even putting replacements in place, left two vital urban centres effectively headless. It was only after this glaring lapse came to light that rushed corrections followed. This is not governance. It reflects chaos, confusion and sheer incompetence being passed off as authority.
This is not incidental, it points to a deliberate design to seize control of West Bengal through coercion and institutional manipulation. What we are witnessing is nothing short of an undeclared emergency and an unpromulgated form of president’s rule driven by political vendetta, not democratic principles.
Having failed to win the trust of Bengal’s people, the BJP is now attempting to capture the state through coercion, intimidation, manipulation and the misuse of institutions.
I stand in complete solidarity with every officer of the Government of West Bengal and their families, who are being targeted simply for serving the state with honesty and commitment. Bengal has never bowed to intimidation and it never will.
Bengal will fight, Bengal will resist and Bengal will decisively defeat every attempt to impose a divisive and destructive agenda on its soil.

▪️Probably this is the first time in the History of Indian Politics that the President of India and it's office have indulged in Politically motivated event in any state at such a level.
▪️President of India openly playing politics in the name of #SanthalTribes and the regime pouncing upon it to score the Brownies.

🔸Where did her love for people vanished when she signed the Delhi Services Ordinance bill, sidelining the #SupremeCourt Judgement
🔸Where did the love for tribals, forest inhabitants, indigenous community go when she signed the Forest (Conservation) Amendment Act.
🔸Why did the Hon' President of India approved the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita and new Criminal Laws in such a hurry. Why didn't she advocated in favour of a debate in Parliament for the laws to be made & implemented in consensus of all.
🔸Did she even made a single sentence around the ongoing violence in Manipur. Almost 50% of Manipur's 3.3 Mn people are Tribals.
🔸The President of India delayed the assent to various state bills, especially ruled and governed by the opposition like - TN, WB, Kerala etc.

I am shocked and deeply concerned by the sudden news of the resignation of Shri C. V. Ananda Bose, the Governor of West Bengal.
The reasons behind his resignation are not known to me at this moment. However, given the prevailing circumstances, I would not be surprised if the Governor has been subjected to some pressure from the Union Home Minister to serve certain political interests on the eve of the forthcoming State Assembly elections.
Union Home Minister just informed me that Shri R.N. Ravi is being appointed as Governor of West Bengal. He never consulted with me as per the established convention in this regard.
Such actions undermine the spirit of the Constitution of India and strike at the very foundation of our federal structure. The Centre must respect the principles of cooperative federalism and refrain from taking unilateral decisions that erode democratic conventions and the dignity of States.
Shri @abhishekaitc paid his floral tributes to Kazi Nazrul Islam and took the stage at Nazrul Mancha to launch Tapashilir Sanglap.
For the next two months, our leaders will travel across SC and ST-dominated localities, engaging in meaningful conversations with our Dalit and Adivasi brothers and sisters.
You know elections are around the corner when BJP vultures start hovering overhead, slithering to doorsteps, begging for votes with crocodile tears and empty pledges, only to betray, vanish without a trace, and leave shattered promises in their wake.
But we stand with the people year-round, empowering our Dalit and Adivasi communities through targeted welfare initiatives, amplifying their voices, and safeguarding their rights against BJP's casteist onslaught.
Proud to share that, for further increasing the safety and confidence of women in our city, Kolkata Police is launching two more initiatives from today.
First, several all-women Pink Booths at key city intersections will be commissioned and be operational from evening to midnight, today onwards. My sisters in the city will be able to connect directly with the lady officers of KP for any assistance in these booths.
Second, today evening onwards, several 'SHINING' (as I have named them) all-women mobile patrol teams will also be on duty from 8 pm to 2 AM, patrolling E.M. Bypass and other major city roads used by my working sisters during night hours.
Kolkata continues to be the safest city in the country over the years and I am sure these two unique new initiatives will go a long way in furthering the same.
An orchestra draws its strength not from a single instrument, but from the harmony created by many distinct voices rising together in perfect balance. Bengal, too, is such an orchestra of humanity, a symphony where people of every faith, caste, class, language, and belief coexist in dignity and concord, enriching one another through diversity.
Guiding this symphony with a steady and compassionate hand is Smt. @MamataOfficial. She is deeply rooted in the soil of Bengal, attuned to its rhythms, sensitive to its silences, and responsive to its aspirations. The values instilled in her from childhood, kindness, empathy, and a mother’s instinct to nurture, continue to define her public life, even at the highest seat of responsibility.
The coercive, unplanned, and utterly heartless SIR exercise has already claimed innocent lives, ordinary people pushed to the brink by unbearable stress, panic, and crushing workload.
From the very first day, Smt. @MamataOfficial and Shri @abhishekaitc have led the fierce, unrelenting fight against this sinister plot to disenfranchise Bengal’s voters. They stood firmly with the grieving families, offering every possible support and solace.
Now, in a profoundly humane and compassionate move, Didi’s Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkaar has decided to provide government employment to all 61 bereaved families who lost their loved ones because of this disastrous SIR.
This is the difference between 'Modi Ki Guarantee' to make people bleed and 'Didi Ki Guarantee' to heal their wounds.
.@ECISVEEP has effectively lost control over the conduct of the SIR process in Bengal. The terms are now being clearly dictated by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, as consistently urged by Smt. @MamataOfficial.
In an unprecedented move today, the Supreme Court was compelled to permit the deployment of judges from neighbouring states to address the massive bottleneck created by the Election Commission’s sheer incompetence and administrative failure. This intervention itself speaks volumes.
At the same time, the Court reiterated that ALL documents notified by the ECI, or subsequently cleared by the Supreme Court, including Aadhaar and Madhyamik admit cards, must be accepted for the disposal of pending claims and objections. This categorical direction dismantles the BJP-ECI attempt to arbitrarily shift goalposts and manipulate documentary standards.
The conspiracy to selectively target, intimidate, and harass voters in Bengal has once again run into a firm judicial barrier. Institutions must function within the bounds of law, not at the behest of partisan interests.
The demise of Mukul Roy marks the end of an era in Bengal’s political history. A veteran leader with vast experience. His contributions helped shape an important phase of the state’s public and political journey.
As a founding pillar of the All India Trinamool Congress, he was instrumental in expanding and consolidating the organisation during its formative years. His dedication to public life will be recalled with admiration.
I extend my sincere sympathies to his family, friends and admirers. May his soul be granted eternal peace.

This #BhashaDibas, may no child, no community, no culture ever hesitate to speak the language of their mother. Speak freely and proudly in your mother tongue, for Bengal cherishes every language that shapes our shared humanity.
Shocked again!
Yet again, our Prime Minister aggressively displays his cultural insensitivity to great figures of Bengal. Today is the janmatithi of Yugavatara (God's incarnation in our age) Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsadeva. While trying to hail the great saint on this occasion, our PM added an unprecedented and improper prefix to the great saint's name, “Swami”!
As is well known, Sri Ramakrishna was widely revered as Thakur (literally, God). While his ascetic disciples constituted the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission after their Master's demise, and those monks were then called “Swami” as per Indian traditions, the Master, the Acharya, himself continued to be referred to as Thakur. The prefix “Swami” was meant for his disciples in the Ramakrishna Order; but the holy trinity of the Order remained Thakur–Ma–Swamiji. Thakur is Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsadeva, Ma is Ma Sarada, and Swamiji is Swami Vivekananda.
I urge the Prime Minister kindly not to discover new prefixes and suffixes for the great Renaissance figures of Bengal who shaped modern India.
