I had a highly consequential meeting with the President of the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago, resulting in major breakthroughs that will redefine our higher education and IT landscapes. During our discussions, I emphasized that our IT institutes must evolve into applied universities. Every single lab must directly service the needs of our industry and the government. To achieve this, IIT has agreed to help us audit our existing IT institutes to drive greater market collaboration and deep-tech research. IIT is an institution with an extraordinary legacy of innovation—it is the birthplace of pioneering technologies like Motorola and Amazon's Alexa—and their expertise will be invaluable to us.

In a monumental development, the President of IIT agreed to establish an IIT campus in Pakistan.

I warmly welcomed this visionary decision and termed it a massive leap forward for our nation. Bringing a world-class institution like IIT directly to Pakistan will provide our youth with top-tier global education at home, accelerate our digital economy, and catalyze a new era of technological innovation.

The Republic of Balochistan unequivocally endorses the statement made by India’s Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, that Pakistan stands at the root of global terrorism. While India has emerged as a leading hub of information technology, Pakistan has, regrettably, transformed into a hub of “I.T.” in the darkest sense International Terrorism.

This reality is not incidental. Pakistan’s infrastructure of international terrorism is sustained, financed, and expanded through the systematic exploitation and plunder of Balochistan’s vast natural resources. These stolen resources are used to train, arm, and strengthen militant networks, which are then deployed by Pakistan’s military and intelligence apparatus across India, Afghanistan, and other regions.

We call upon India and all neighboring states and free world to take a principled stand against this epicenter of international terrorism (Pakistan) by recognizing Balochistan as an independent state. A sovereign Balochistan would be empowered defensively, politically, militarily, and economically to safeguard its immense wealth from exploitation and to contribute to lasting regional stability. The independence of Balochistan can become a cornerstone for enduring peace, particularly in South Asia, including India and Afghanistan.

But the clearest example is Afghanistan. For years, Pakistan spoke of brotherhood, while in practice it financed war, supported proxy groups, and actively undermined stability. This is no longer an allegation, but a repeated and observable reality.

The truth is this: Pakistan is a state that has anchored its survival in the production of crisis. It can only sustain itself as long as others continue to mistakenly trust it. That trust, however, is now collapsing.

What we are witnessing today is not a sudden shift, but the natural outcome of years of deception, duplicity, and strategic manipulation.

I sincerely commend PM Shehbaz Sharif for shielding the public from rising global oil prices for a full month. Through austerity measures, reduced unnecessary spending, and smart planning, the government created fiscal space to provide relief.
