The now-deceased Tooro kingdom leader visited some high-end hospitals in Kampala after feeling persistent backpain. X-rays, MRI scans later, they told him they saw nothing.
Being a person of means, he flew to a hospital in Nairobi where he was diagnosed with cancer. A year later he was dead. What did the doctors in Nairobi see that the Kampala ones couldn’t?
Well, Nairobi has a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan or a few. Kampala and the whole of Uganda don’t. A PET scan costs about $3m (Shs 11.7bn) or approximately 17 Land Cruisers.
If there was a meeting of government officials, you would run out of space to park them. That is how many we have in Uganda but a PET Scan is not something we have been able to buy and install yet.

@DailyMonitor It is unfair that banks continued to charge interest during the Covid-19 pandemic while many borrowers were unable to work and earn an income. At the same time, the Uganda Government kept bailing out companies like Roko and Roofings. If the government can rescue big businesses!!!
Uganda has a culture of retaining colonial traditions and defining them as ethics
Cutting of hair for prisoners and school children were colonial policies for making Africans inferior and intimidate them. Making them think that it's unethical to grow hair so they don't equate whites
This Kenyan man claimed he was unwell and tried to rest per the doctor's recommendation. However, he couldn't rest due to noise from a nearby church. He stormed it and reminded them that they are operating a church in a residential area. He later played their keyboard and drums with his walking 😂😂😂
Another win for American innovation in Africa. 🇺🇬Starlink's expansion to Uganda reflects our commitment to increasing U.S. investment in support of the Government’s tenfold growth agenda and expanding connectivity.
🇺🇬 Starlink is live in Uganda.
That’s another country where the internet doesn’t have to stop at the last cell tower.
People have been waiting on this. Now they can order it.

Chobe Safari Lodge: fully booked, $700+ per night, and clearly not for Ugandans. At this point, I’m calling on Uganda Police, CMI, and whoever else—because clearly, we need a state inquiry into who actually stays there. 😂🇺🇬 #Chobe#Uganda#Tourism" @PoliceUg@UgandaMediaCent
