Are you free on the evening of December 16th? 🎄 Join me for this masterclass all about finding multiple (infinite?) ways in to the same subject matter. We’ll write a ridiculous amount of poems in 2 hours…with brand new exercises @arvonfoundation https://t.co/yvEGPJyh0v
So thrilled to see Wastelands being read! The whole trajectory of the project is about this! Thank you @brihughespoet, to other future readers, and of course @GuillemotPress
I am sorry to hear the poet John Lucas has passed away.
John was a perfect gentleman. He was an expert on Baudelaire, Auden. I was lucky to see John read & talk to him a little in my formative years as a young poet in Nottingham.
He will be missed. Rest in peace John 🖤
'I didn't lick this': best audience response? By the wonderful @DavidMullHere, sticker by @Lindenprint. A taste of the wonderful event last night to launch Wastelands @GuillemotPress w the brilliant @thatmoonpoet & Tania Hershman, with thanks to Jennifer Lee Tsai for pics 2/3.
Publication Day! @GuillemotPress
https://t.co/tievNsWqRJ Opportunity to thank you all for your support for this book. First launch at Manchester Poetry Library this Thursday 4pm. Come say hi!
Sir Nicholas Winton was a British humanist who organised the Kindertransport humanitarian rescue of hundreds of children from Nazi-occupied Europe. His life demonstrated his belief: that people did not need religion to live good, ethical lives. He exemplified 'Think for yourself, act for everyone.'
As we’ve all seen in recent days, a growing, well-funded US-style Christian nationalism is taking root in the UK – threatening the hard-won freedoms we all share and must protect. https://t.co/YBf7SusM1H
The Surreal-Absurd. A brilliant anthology. Honoured and delighted to be included. Lovely to discover lots of new names, too. Huge thanks to the editors Thomas Helm, Marcus Silcock, @VikShirley and Ben Niespodziany.
This Thursday, I’ll be reading from my new chapbook, My Outsize Hank Williams Cowboy Hat, with artwork by Lupo Sol, published by Sacred Parasite Press Berlin. There’ll be copies available on the night.
Coming up next Thursday 18th September, 7 to 9pm, at P3 Annihilation Eve, 70 Oldham Road (M4 5EB), THE EVERYDAY MARVELOUS. I’ll be reading alongside @stephensunderla , Tom Jenks, Sarah-Clare Conlon, Stuart Carlton, and Lydia Unsworth.
