@Samfr For me, that is worth a truckload. We've now taken to going to the EU ones as they tend to be nicer, more varied and there's a cultural experience to be had as well. You can ferry to FR/NL and stay for a week and have change compared to the UK costs. 3/3

@Samfr As a rando on the internet, I'll weigh in here. I've been going to C-P since I was 14, went for my honeymoon (!) and have been to all the UK sites and a few EU ones. It's the *ease* of the place that appeals. It's expensive as hell (and getting worse!) but you can have the 1/?

@bridges_tom As someone who lives on the Midland Mainline, I'm always shocked when I travel further north than Sheffield. I went over to Manchester (and then on to Blackpool) a couple of weeks ago, and it was all just Awful - cancelled trains, insufficient capacity, nasty rolling stock.
