@DeepSailCapital Well, it’s been a long road, but I think it’s time that $EOLS earnings finally to start inflect upwards with operating leverage materializing.
@stockspinoffss Can only speak to RIA personally, but the startup/operating costs associated with #1 are incredibly low assuming you go barebones laptop, brain, and a few other essentials.
@evantindell Pretty interesting concept, thanks for posting! I work in an IR role in the industry and have thought similarly on the incentives. Would you mind DMing me? Yours are closed off to "unverified" folks. Thanks!
@BlkDiamondCap@grahamfarrar I asked Graham the same thing…He relayed that if the math works, there’s no reason they wouldn’t do so. I suspect it just boils down to incremental yield gained, but also interpreted it as that’s kind of the expectation medium-term. I could be wrong.
Been thinking on the filters most important to me for investment ideas. Came up with this visual and want to buy stocks in middle that hit all these criteria:
@marketplunger1 This is a theory vs practice issue. In theory, it shouldn't be a huge lift to provide the quarterly reports and IR materials. In practice, it's massively resource intensive internally. This is an area where investors are a bit misguided with reality having not been on the inside
@CliffordSosin@BrownMarubozu I’m in IR by day and an investor by night but have been surprised by the inside of public companies. Granted, it’s only one company I’ve been a part of but I suspect it’s the norm for 80%+ which as an investor, makes owner/operator type management teams all the more critical IMO
@CliffordSosin@BrownMarubozu Respectfully, I think you’re vastly underestimating the time management puts into materials like the quarterly presentation/script etc. With managers running a company, their biggest fear is not looking in control or like they know everything, so they obsess over the narrative.
It sure looks to me like @PaulAndreola’s NameSilo $URLOF $URL.CA has hit escape velocity. The Q1 revenue, gross/operating profit look great. With time, I think that will flow through the rest of the income statement so it’s a bit cleaner. Cash production has always been there.
