If it weren’t for volleyball I wouldn’t know this beautiful soul!!

This is Shayna. She is one of my favorite people. She’s my friend. She’s my teammate she’s my Libero.

But if it weren’t for volleyball I don’t know if we would know each other.

Shayna has truly been what a godly friend looks like and she walks out this verse daily.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV

Shayna led our team with kindness and constant encouragement and puts other before herself always.

She’s always looking to better herself and surrounds herself with people to better her.

Shayna puts the Lord first in all her actions and when I need advice, the first thing she does is say let’s pray abt it. That’s the kind of friend you want. One who takes EVERYTHING to the Lord first!!

She’s kind, an amazing libero with athleticism out of this world but more than that, she’s a role model. And I don’t know where I’d be without her!

All I can say is by the grace of God. The Lord put His hands over me on the evening of October 29th. Thankfully, I only have a broken arm and lots of soreness.

To everyone who reached out, I appreciate all of your prayers and encouraging words. It means more than you know.

It’s going to be a hard and long road to recovery but I’m determined to get back on the court as soon as I can. Thank you, God, for your providence and protection over me. This is just the beginning 🩷
