Gaza is facing the ‘largest orphan crisis’ in modern history, with 39,384 children having lost one or both of their parents after 534 days of Israel’s genocidal war in the besieged enclave.

According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, more than 17,000 have lost both parents since October 2023.

This is a stain on our common humanity.
