Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s Message on the Occasion of Youm-e-Ilhaq-e-Pakistan (Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day) 19 July 2026.

Youm-e-Ilhaq-e-Pakistan (Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day) is observed annually to commemorate the historic resolution adopted by the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference at its Srinagar session on 19 July 1947.

The unanimous resolution reflected the collective political aspirations of the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir at a defining moment in the history of the subcontinent. It expressed their desire for the State’s accession to Pakistan and called upon the Dogra rulers to respect the will of the people. The resolution remains an important historical milestone in the political struggle of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

This occasion also serves as a reminder of the enduring bonds that unite the peoples of Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir, founded on shared history, faith, culture, geography and longstanding ties. Above all, it underscores the central importance of respecting the freely expressed will of the Kashmiri people.

Pakistan remains steadfast in its principled support for the inalienable right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as enshrined in the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. The unresolved Jammu and Kashmir dispute continues to have profound implications for regional peace and security. Lasting peace in South Asia requires its peaceful resolution in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The Government and people of Pakistan salute the courage, resilience and steadfastness of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their just struggle for the realization of their fundamental rights. Pakistan will continue to extend its unwavering diplomatic, political and moral support until the people of Jammu and Kashmir are able to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination.

کھاریاں تک موٹروے کا کام زور و شور سے جاری ہے اور دریائے چناب پر پل کی تعمیر بھی تکمیل کے آخری مراحل میں ہے۔ یہی نہیں، بلکہ کھاریاں سے روات تک بھی 205 ارب روپے کا ٹھیکہ FWO کو دے دیا گیا ہے۔ماضی میں کہا جاتا تھا کہ سیالکوٹ جی ٹی روڈ پر نہیں ہے، اس لیے اسے وہ سہولیات اور اہمیت نہیں مل سکتی جو دوسرے شہروں کو حاصل ہیں۔ الحمدللہ، جی ٹی روڈ تو سیالکوٹ نہیں آ سکی لیکن میاں نواز شریف کے ہم ممنون و مشکور ہیں جنہوں نے سیالکوٹ کو موٹروے کے شاندار تحفے سے نوازا۔ سیالکوٹ کی ترقی کا سفر اب رکنے والا نہیں۔

او جی ڈی سی ایل نے پاکستان میں پہلی مرتبہ شیل گیس تلاش کرنے کا پائلٹ پروجیکٹ حیدرآباد کے علاقے میں KUC-1 نامی کنویں کی کھدائی سے شروع کیا جو کامیاب ہو گیا ہے اس پروجیکٹ کا مقصد روزانہ 800 سے 900 ملین کیوبک فٹ شیل گیس نکالنا ہے جو پاکستان کی اس وقت کی پیداوار کا 30 فیصد بنتا ہے اس کھدائی سے شیل گیس کے لیے موجود شیل راکس کی فارمیشنز اور ڈرلنگ کا فیزیبل ہونا ثابت ہوا ہے۔

Pleased to meet my friend H.E. Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Indonesia, on the sidelines of WAICO in Shanghai.

We discussed further strengthening Pakistan–Indonesia bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in key priority sectors. We exchanged views on regional and multilateral issues of common interest.

We also reviewed the key economic and development outcomes, and the follow-up on understandings reached during the historic visit of H.E. President Prabowo Subianto to Pakistan in December 2025, and reaffirmed our shared commitment to translating them into tangible progress for our two brotherly countries.

President Xi Jinping, following the establishment of WAICO last night through the signing of the agreement by the Founding Members, including Pakistan.

Pakistan supports inclusive and equitable global AI governance, wider access to emerging technologies, capacity-building for developing countries, and enhanced international cooperation to bridge the digital divide and ensure that the benefits of artificial intelligence are shared by all.

بہاولپور ایئرپورٹ پر نجی ایئرلائن کی پہلی ملکی پرواز کی آمد کے موقع پر افتتاحی تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ کراچی سے آنے والی پہلی پرواز کے ایئرپورٹ پر استقبالیہ تقریب میں ڈپٹی کمشنر بہاولپور سید حسن رضا سمیت ضلعی انتظامیہ، ایئرپورٹ حکام، کاروباری، سماجی اور صنعتی شخصیات نے شرکت کی۔نجی ایئرلائن نے کراچی، بہاولپور اور اسلام آباد کے درمیان باقاعدہ ملکی پروازوں کا آغاز کر دیا ہے۔
بہاولپور پہنچنے کے بعد یہی طیارہ اسلام آباد کے لیے روانہ ہوا۔شرکاء نے ملکی پروازوں کی بحالی کو جنوبی پنجاب کے لیے خوش آئند اور ترقی کی جانب اہم پیش رفت قرار دیا۔اس اقدام سے خطے میں سفر، تجارت، سرمایہ کاری اور سیاحت کے فروغ میں مدد ملے گی۔تقریب کے شرکاء نے مستقبل میں پروازوں کی تعداد بڑھانے اور دیگر بڑے شہروں تک فضائی آپریشن شروع کرنے کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔مقررین نے کہا کہ فضائی رابطوں میں بہتری سے جنوبی پنجاب کے عوام کو جدید، محفوظ اور آسان سفری سہولیات میسر آئیں گی۔نجی ایئرلائن کے اس اقدام کو بہاولپور اور جنوبی پنجاب کی معاشی و سماجی ترقی کے لیے ایک اہم سنگ میل قرار دیا گیا۔
