@brant_robertson I think it was 3 years ago. I had to backport my Debian from version 4 to version 3.16. The new kernel didn't support my WiFi adapter.

The tornado was moving from right to left, few miles behind these clouds, I couldn't capture it but it's nice (?!) to see how it sucks back those clouds behind it and a rain is trailing. You can guess how it's moving. @spann

Got the vaccine and my status is changed from non-resident to resident, but still alien. Feeling so grateful and humbled by the support. I take photos as a hobby and honoring these opportunities, I've started donating all the photos I have taken in the US, to a charity.

I was surprised by a very quiet day, then I got this email, again:
"Some UA students may not have received email from O365 email accounts sent from 11 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 through 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 11."
Can we do something about it? Don't use Microsoft for example!

UA email: exciting news, we will upgrade student emails from Gmail to Microsoft O365. Just like faculty and staff.
Me: upgrade or downgrade?
UA email today: there was an error yesterday, well O365 blocked all external emails for few hours.
Me: exciting, indeed!

3/3: I worked 3 years for free in return to my full access to the computer center. I did everything from wiring Cisco routers to assembling hardware to programming in any language they needed. At the end I got more than Starry Night and it defined my entire career path.

1/3: I got an email to update my old Starry Night software. I don't use it anymore but it brought back tons of memories and can answer a question people always ask me: How I learned this much about enterprise IT despite my science education and my 3rd world background?

2/3: I loved Astronomy. I didn't like computers and I didn't have one. In my first college year I needed Starry Night but the IT center didn't let me install any software that wasn't in the schedule however the manager said they can help me if I help them. So I volunteered!

@johnnypgreco More I think about it, more Perelman's craziness makes sense. He literally solved the Poincare conjecture and put it on arxiv only! Later he won $1M and a Fields medal for this paper series: https://t.co/tT0GiK99V7
