@DeathbeatCB@MarathonTheGame This isn't really an event, it's a game system to allow people that started the game later into the season to have faster progression.
This video does such a good job capturing what’s made this championship feel so special.
If Spurs had won, the Nike spot would have been something about Wemby arriving (or maybe new era w/ all the young players.
This didn’t even have any players in it. It’s about the city and the people who call it home.
I don’t even like the Knicks (although my wife is a massive fan and watched every game this season). I’m a Sixers fan. But I love New York and this whole run has been about the city.
@Noah_Jynx@Lazgar_lockman Nowadays it doesn't matter how good a game is, if it isn't for you, crucify, review bomb, and run a year long hate campaign.
I love Destiny, but this community is actually the most selfish, crybaby ass community in all of gaming.
@Noah_Jynx@Lazgar_lockman After Reach, Bungie left one of the largest gaming franchises in the world, Halo, to go make Destiny.
No one asked them to make Destiny, but they did. What was the reception? Did Halo fans outrage and review bomb Destiny? No, because gamers then just wanted good games. (1/2)
@tatertotenj0yer@Lazgar_lockman You act like there are a ton of these games, there isn't. Most extract shooters are poorly made and hold MAYBE a few hundred players/day.
There are very few that have been able to break through. Tarkov, Hunt, Arc, Cycle (R.I.P.), and Marathon.
Each of them have their own niche.
@tatertotenj0yer@Lazgar_lockman If you want an extraction shooter that isn't OVERLY realistic to the point if you aren't into Milsim you'll actually want to die playing it, or so casual if you even think about PvP you get crucified by the community, there is nothing BUT Marathon.
@tatertotenj0yer@Lazgar_lockman Like what?
Tarkov is WAY past the extreme with ultra-realism in place of actual enjoyable gameplay.
Arc Raiders which is so casual it can barely be considered an extraction shooter.
Hunt Showdown which is more an objective based extraction game than an actual extraction shooter.
@teblotablu@Lazgar_lockman Destiny players have been shit talking Marathon for over a year, ever since the very first gameplay reveal.
Once again the Destiny community and its revisionist history.
@nikxak0@Ninchiito@DestinyBulletn It also doesn't take into account that this was around the same time that Bungie was in discussions with Sony where Pete Parsons was able to absolutely scam them out of 3.6 billion dollars, I doubt Microsoft didn't put up a bid, it just wasn't 3.6 billion.
@nikxak0@Ninchiito@DestinyBulletn Bro blocked me so I can't even reply to the article 😭😭
The article literally states that they WANTED Bungie but it was too risky based on their business decisions.
@nikxak0@Ninchiito@DestinyBulletn Every decision they've made since the new CEO has taken over has been amazing.
They reverted back to the Xbox moniker, decreased the price of game pass, toned down on AI usage, and stated their focus will be on actually making games once again.
All of this since late February.
