[Shairose Mawji @ShairoseM]

After five years as UNICEF Deputy Representative in Jordan, it's time to say goodbye. I leave with immense pride in what we've achieved together and an unwavering belief in the children and young people of this country. 🧵

[Shairose Mawji @ShairoseM]

I think of the children and families I've met - from communities across Jordan to Syrian and Palestinian refugee camps - and the resilience I've witnessed every step of the way.

Celebrated this International Day of Persons with Disabilities, by listening to children with disabilities and their families.

Their voices remind us of what’s needed for every child to be included and given equal opportunity.

The leadership of girls like Sundos & Maysam is not just inspiring, it’s essential to building a more equitable future.

And every time we give a girl the space, the skills, and the safety to lead, we invest in stronger communities.
