The Taliban have announced that their retaliation operations against recent Pakistani air attacks in Afghanistan have started. This is a terrible dynamic that must stop. Innocent Afghans and Pakistanis are getting injured or killed. A better option is a diplomatic agreement between the 2 countries that neither would allow its territory to be used by individuals and groups to threaten the security of the other. The implementation of the agreement should be monitored by a trusted 3rd party, for example #Turkiye. It is deeply shocking and irresponsible that a respected newspaper like Dawn published a planted report from a FAKE account falsely attributed to Noreen Niazi on its front page, without any verification from her. This raises extremely serious concerns for us and further undermines our trust in the government’s intentions and the information being circulated. Please note that my sister’s real account on X is @Noreen_KhanPK , please report all other accounts as they are all fake.

Our position has been clear and consistent. Imran Khan must be urgently admitted to Shifa International Hospital (Islamabad) for proper examination and treatment. His personal doctors have already provided the government with several acceptable specialist options. Any tests and treatment are only acceptable to our family if conducted in the physical presence and supervision of his personal doctor, Dr Asim Yusuf and Dr Nausherwan Burki representing the family. We had previously nominated Dr Uzma Khan to represent our family, but we were informed that none of Imran Khan’s sisters would be allowed to be present. Therefore, we have complete faith and trust in Dr Nausherwan Burki, who is like an elder brother to us, to represent our family.

It is extremely concerning and unacceptable that the government is resisting the presence of Imran Khan’s personal doctor and family representative during his examination and treatment. Without the physical presence of both his personal doctor and family representative, we categorically REJECT any claims made by the government regarding his examination, treatment, or medical condition.

We have been informed that my father, Imran Khan, has lost most of the vision in his right eye, with reports indicating only 15% eyesight remains. This is the direct consequence of 922 days of solitary confinement, medical neglect (denied blood tests) and the deliberate denial of proper treatment in jail.

The responsibility lies squarely with the regime in power, the Army Chief and the puppets enabling this cruelty. This physical deterioration is happening under their orders, their watch and their responsibility. They have manipulated and warped the justice system in order to keep my father in solitary confinement.

My brother and I are still being denied visas to see our father as his health deteriorates. History will record this injustice.

We urge human rights bodies, legal institutions and democratic nations to confront this persecution and ensure those responsible face consequences.

My father has been under arrest for 845 days. For the past six weeks, he has been kept in solitary confinement in a death cell with zero transparency. His sisters have been denied every visit, even with clear court orders allowing access. There have been no phone calls, no meetings and no proof of life. Me and my brother have had no contact with our father.

This absolute blackout is not a security protocol. It is a deliberate attempt to hide his condition and prevent our family from knowing whether he is safe.

Let it be clear: the Pakistani government and its handlers will be held fully accountable legally, morally and internationally for my father’s safety and for every consequence of this inhumane isolation.

I call on the international community, global human rights organisations and every democratic voice to intervene urgently. Demand proof of life, enforce court ordered access, end this inhumane isolation and call for the release of Pakistan’s most popular political leader who is being held solely for political reasons.
