“Things are going to be different now.”
On the changes and challenges Muslim athletes have faced in the 20 years since 9/11, for @SInow: https://t.co/1zFjVLIWbc
@treswritesstuff@ellorysmith (Not defending the team’s choices up till now. It does seem like they stood up to them at the gate though).

This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization. Tonight’s game will be played as scheduled.
@treswritesstuff@ellorysmith FWIW, it seems like they were denied entry to the parking lot and the stadium area. they tried to get in and then posted up on that road near the gates under the signage
If you need a laugh this week, here's the first chapter of STUPID TV, BE MORE FUNNY. It's about all the influences that went into The Simpsons. Book's out tomorrow! https://t.co/kqC90IfIOL
time for an unfortunate media rite of passage: after 9 years at The Ringer, I was laid off this week. I’m gutted to leave, but grateful for my time there, the many wonderful folks I worked with over the years, and all the stories I got to tell
Feels so ridiculous to say some ~professional~ news, but ya gotta do it, so here it goes!
This is my last week at The Ringer. It has been more than I could’ve asked for in so many ways. I came in as a fan, I remained a fan throughout, and I’ll continue to be a fan
Breaking my Twitter absence to say: There will never be another like Zach Kram. He’s the best coworker, the best leader, the best writer, fact-checker, night-shift partner, and just the best the Ringer had to offer. Salute to the GOAT. On to the next challenge.
For the first time, some personal news: After nearly 9 years, today is my last day at the @ringer.
Few people are lucky enough to ever work their dream job—and I landed mine right out of college. I'm verklempt, and can never say enough about how much I love and value this place.
got an interesting answer about the tennis balls ATP players have been complaining about - companies use worse material and the balls die in the air “like a shuttlecock”
