Deeply saddened by the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, a statesman whose intellect and leadership steered India’s economic transformation. His tenure marked an era of steady growth, social progress, and reforms that improved the lives of millions.

Dr. Manmohan Singh’s partnership with Thalaivar Kalaignar was instrumental in advancing Tamil Nadu’s development. Their mutual respect and collaboration brought vital projects and strengthened the state’s progress across various sectors. Dr. Manmohan Singh valued Tamil Nadu’s aspirations, ensuring that the voices of the South resonated in national policies.

Even during turbulent times, Dr. #ManmohanSingh and Thalaivar Kalaignar stood together, exemplifying the strength of coalition politics built on trust and respect for regional identities. His calm, thoughtful leadership reflected a rare quality — a leader who spoke less but achieved more, driven by action rather than rhetoric.

To the people of Tamil Nadu, Dr. Manmohan Singh was not only a Prime Minister but a friend of the state. His ability to understand and address our needs helped strengthen Tamil Nadu’s role in India’s growth story. His modesty, despite his vast knowledge and stature, left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

On behalf of the people of Tamil Nadu and the DMK, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the entire @INCIndia party. Dr. Manmohan Singh’s legacy of wisdom, humility, and service will continue to guide and inspire future generations.

முன்னாள் பிரதமர் டாக்டர் மன்மோகன் சிங் அவர்கள் மறைந்த செய்தியறிந்து மிகவும் வருத்தமுற்றேன். பெரும் தலைவரான அவரது அறிவாற்றலும் தலைமைத்துவமும் இந்தியாவின் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சியை முன்னோக்கி வழிநடத்தியது. பிரதமராக அவரது பதவிக்காலம் நிலையான வளர்ச்சி, சமூக முன்னேற்றம் மற்றும் கோடிக்கணக்கான மக்களின் வாழ்க்கையை மேம்படுத்திய சீர்திருத்தங்கள் ஆகியவற்றைக் கொண்டதாகத் திகழ்ந்தது.

தலைவர் கலைஞர் அவர்கள் டாக்டர் மன்மோகன் சிங் அவர்களுடன் இணைந்து செயல்பட்டது தமிழ்நாட்டின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு முக்கியப் பங்காற்றியது. அவர்கள் ஒருவர் மீது ஒருவர் கொண்டிருந்த மதிப்பும், அவர்களது கூட்டணியும் மிகப் பெரும் சிறப்புத் திட்டங்களைக் கொண்டு வந்து, அனைத்துத் துறைகளிலும் தமிழ்நாட்டின் வளர்ச்சியை வலுப்படுத்தின. தமிழ்நாட்டின் கனவுகளை மதிப்பவராக டாக்டர் மன்மோகன் சிங் இருந்தார். தென்னக மக்களின் குரல்கள் தேசிய அளவிலான திட்டங்களில், கொள்கைகளில் எதிரொலிப்பதை அவர் உறுதிசெய்தார்.

நெருக்கடியான காலங்களிலும் டாக்டர் மன்மோகன் சிங் அவர்களும் தலைவர் கலைஞர் அவர்களும் உறுதியாக ஒன்றிணைந்து நின்று, நம்பிக்கை மற்றும் மாநில அடையாளங்களுக்கான மரியாதை ஆகியவற்றின் அடிப்படையில் கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட கூட்டணி அரசின் வலிமையை வெளிப்படுத்தினர். அவரது அமைதியான, ஆழ்ந்த சிந்தனை கொண்ட தலைமைப்பண்பானது பொதுவாழ்வில் காண்பதற்கு மிகவும் அரிதான பண்பாகும். அவர் குறைவாகப் பேசினார், ஆனால் மிகுதியாகச் சாதித்தார். அவர் வாய்ச்சொல் வீரராக அல்லாமல் தனது தீர்க்கமான செயல்களினால் பேசினார்.

பிரதமர் என்பதையும் தாண்டி, தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்களுக்கு ஒரு நண்பராக அவர் விளங்கினார். நமது தேவைகளைப் புரிந்துகொண்டு, அவற்றைத் தீர்த்து வைத்த அவரது செயல்பாடு இந்தியாவின் வளர்ச்சி வரலாற்றில் தமிழ்நாடு வலிமையான பங்காற்றுவதற்குத் துணைபுரிந்தது. பரந்துபட்ட அறிவைக் கொண்டிருந்தாலும், உயர்ந்த பதவியில் இருந்தாலும் மிகவும் அடக்கத்துடன் அவர் இருந்தார். இதன்வழியாக அவருடன் பணிபுரியும் வாய்ப்பைப் பெற்றவர்களிடம் ஆழ்ந்த தாக்கத்தை அவர் விட்டுச் சென்றுள்ளார்.

தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்களின் சார்பாகவும், திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்தின் சார்பாகவும் திரு. மன்மோகன் சிங் அவர்களை இழந்து வாடும் அவரது குடும்பத்தினர், நண்பர்கள் மற்றும் காங்கிரஸ் பேரியக்கத்தைச் சேர்ந்த அனைத்துத் தோழர்களுக்கும் எனது ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கலையும் ஆறுதலையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். டாக்டர் மன்மோகன் சிங் அவர்களின் பேரறிவும், பணிவும், தொண்டும் எதிர்காலத் தலைமுறைகளுக்கு ஊக்கமூட்டித் தொடர்ந்து வழிகாட்டும்.
