@whybutwait @Ezidixr No he is not. If the poster is answering yes then I ask him to bring up one single example from before 1990s of ezidis remaining ezidi after conversion to another religion. Those who denounce their faith are not called ezidi by other ezidis anymore at all.

Contradictory claims of his Umayyad ancestry infact only popped up after his lifetime & even then was heavily disputed among islamic writers themselves including Ibn Taymiyya who denied it as an impssibility due to there only being 5 named generations between him & Marwan. (9/22)

The scholar Abdulrahman Mizuri wrote an entire book in which he disproves Shex Adi was an arab or umayyad. But the book is not with me now.
