Like being a cop or surgeon, there is an extra level of care elementary school teachers need to have. Yes they are really underpaid and this needs to be fixed, but that doesn't mean to be terrible to make up for it.

Lots in my neighborhood feel the same cause the renting is causing trouble for everyone in the working class (esp. under 30.) I think the only people it bothers are those too rich to care.
