Grok Bot built this fully rigged soldier in under 5 minutes, along with a bunch of other characters. 7 animations, exported as a GLB, and it drops straight into Three.js, Blender, Unity or Godot. WASD to move, Shift to run, Space to jump, F to fire. #threejs #gamedev

@lekanadeyeri Ink water is such a cool look. Are the caustics driven by the wave sim normals or a separate texture? Curious how you kept the etching lines from swimming as the surface moves.

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@jettelly Kaleidos looks great for quick shader patterns. Any plans for a raw GLSL export? A lot of us working in Three.js would love to drop these straight into a ShaderMaterial.

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@pmndrs Agreed, the browser keeps surprising me. I build Three.js games and people are still shocked they run with no install. Is this r3f with postprocessing, or custom shaders all the way down?

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@wheresryan22 @SpaceX The exploded view on hover is such a good way to show how a Raptor fits together. Did the skill split the parts out of one model, or is each part its own mesh from the start?

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@jeantimex @threejs Streaming PLATEAU tiles with procedural facades is a seriously smart combo. How are you handling LOD and draw calls as you fly across the city? That's the part I'd expect to blow up first at that scale.

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@krisspax That rocket render is clean. Feels like $DOGE is coiling up for the next move. What level are you watching as the real breakout?

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@vrmeup Those look great. If the edges ever get jaggy, alphaTest plus alphaToCoverage on the material (with antialias on) cleans them up without transparency sorting headaches. Are you instancing them?

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@kayf2010 40 cars with real-time crash damage in a browser is no joke. Are you deforming the mesh on impact or swapping in damaged parts? I built a physics marble game in Three.js and collisions were the fun part.

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@MatohWakan @grok @xai Love seeing Grok Bot agents run a whole production crew. How are you keeping the characters consistent from episode to episode with Imagine? Seems like the hardest part of a series like this.

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@Chimakes3d @14islands Recreating stuff like Blobmixer is the best way to learn shaders. Did you do the blob distortion with noise in the vertex shader? The lighting on it looks really clean.

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@himanshubuildss Good list. I'd add: learn a little raw Three.js too. Even just knowing how to load a GLB and set up lighting makes it way easier to tweak whatever the AI or Spline gives you.

[Shane Brumback @ShaneBrumback]

@LuisBizarro This is such a better way to browse a portfolio than a grid. Are you instancing the project cards or is each one its own mesh? Curious how it holds up on mobile with that many.

MAJOR update for Grok Imagine by @SpaceXAI 🔥

Grok Imagine now supports keyframes for video generation! You can choose images for the beginning, end, and specific moments in between, then let Grok generate the motion connecting them. Much more control over how your video unfolds.

First Frame and Last Frame were already available, but intermediate keyframes are new. The feature has appeared in the interface without an official announcement yet. You heard it here first! 👀

Grok Bot just built me a fully rigged, ready-to-play 3D game character 🐹🍊19-bone skeleton, 6 animations, exported as a GLB for Blender, Unity, or Godot. All from one chat.
