Today, we remember a legend.
On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generation’s timeline.
Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme.
He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe.
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Rest easy to a true patriot. 🕊️🇺🇸

Forever in our hearts.
@treswatson 2010 turnout in Kenton Co. was 18% vs 20% in 26. People show up when there is an open senate seat in the same election as all of the county races. The number of aggressive local races has an impact on turnout. Some people need a hobby other than antisemitism and fraud.
@treswatson Additionally I’d love for an aspiring political scientist to study the NKY regions voter registration. With being so close to Cincinnati a relevant amount of people move to OH and don’t unregister in KY. Thus inflating our voter rolls. This appearing to have lower turnout.

Oh goody. I'm so happy to see the insane election conspiracy theorists are back! Yes, voter turnout doubled. That's what happens when 33 million dollars gets spent in a race where normally less than $1 million gets spent. Awareness increases. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
“The race is 100% Trump vs. Massie,” Shane Noem, chairman of the Kenton County Republican Party, told CNN. “It’s become a pick-a-side moment.”

We've reached the subpoenas phase of the ongoing budget back-and-forth between Gov. Andy Beshear and the GOP-controlled state legislature. Here's what both sides are saying, with the next two-year state budget plan to be taken up tomorrow in committee: https://t.co/oCwuM5lDs2
We're headed south for Day in Frankfort! We're excited to give our member an opportunity engage directly with members of Legislative Leadership and the NKY Legislative Caucus. @NKYCCAdvocacy
Due to inclement weather, the Kentucky General Assembly will not convene on Monday, Jan. 26. The legislature is scheduled to reconvene Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 4 p.m. The Capitol Annex will be closed Monday, but most LRC employees will be teleworking and available by email. #kyga26
