Air Marshal ML Sethi passed away in New Delhi at 95. He was commissioned in 1951 with the 2nd NAV Course and was the last Navigator ever in the @IAF_MCC to reach the level of an AOC-in-C, retiring on that post from @MC_IAF in October 1987.
After his early years of service, he was selected to take a specialist Nav course in navigation. Later, he was one of the first two crews trained abroad as navigators on CANBERRA aircraft, and he formed the nucleus of the Jet Bomber Conversion Unit, which trained all Canberra crews.
When the IAF induced the Surface-to-Air Missiles in the mid-1960s, he was among the first Air Force personnel to be trained on the SAGW system. As Officer Commanding an operational SAGW squadron, he achieved the distinction of being the first unit in the IAF to become operational.
Thereafter, he focused heavily on training. He attained Directing Staff Grading in the Defence Services Staff College and subsequently served as a Direct Staff member. He is also a graduate of the National Defence College. In recognition of his experience and exceptionally high instructional capability, he was selected as leader of the Training Team that established an Air Wing of the Staff College in Iraq from 1972 to 1975.
He has held several Staff appointments in Commands and air Headquarters. As Joint Director of Navigation, he formulated a categorization scheme for navigators and Air Traffic Controllers. He was instrumental in forming the integrated Area Control Center in J&K.
He was selected to Command the largest ground training establishment in the Air Force, where his performance was creditable. Later, as Director (Military) of the Cabinet Secretariat, he performed the functions related to the Chiefs of Staff Committee's secretariat.
On promotion to the rank of Air Vice Marshal in April 1981, he was appointed Director of Intelligence in the Air Force, a post he held for nearly four years till early 1985. After a brief stint as AOA, he superannuated as AOC-in-C of Maintenance Command.
May he rest in peace.

@SevadalDL@RahulGandhi Does you strategy include not appealing, spending time in jail, as you guys need something special to change the discourse in India
@ashwinravi99 Not sure why you would feel obliged to share/ explain this after having delivered more wins than almost anyone else who played for India.
Hats off to @airindiain and in particular Hema Bindu as well as her colleagues JP and Kumar for helping me recover my iPad left by me in one of their flights. Super efficient and kind
Today, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues—attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans.
🐮Livestock feed is probably the biggest reason the global #foodsystem is the #2 disruptor of the path to #netzero. We're investing in insect-based protein as a replacement for otherwise grain-based feed. Just as nutritious, hopefully just as delicious! 🐜

@Anurag_Dwary@ndtv@ndtvindia What I'm surprised about here is no one stopped her from throwing fruits on street. People are watching incidents like this and making films for social media but no one tries to help the poor guys.
