Our UX design team is looking to add a new member! Seeking someone either in Boston or UK remote. If you're interested, the postings for either locale can be found here: https://t.co/54RcsuNxIL
And it's 5 min to SHOWTIME!
Welcoming us to #UXPABOS20 is our esteemed UXPA Boston President Matt DiGirolamo @mdigirolUX with for an introduction to the day and some brief remarks on the industry in our current world.

@cherryrae There is a way to turn that off but it’s not the most convenient thing if you need to toggle it on/off frequently (although some people set up a macro to do that). https://t.co/BJTTBv4UNa
Accessible design isn’t just about disability. If we want to make products which are usable by everyone, we have to consider EVERYONE. Young, old, abled, and disabled. I believe in the wonderful designers in our community; I know we can do it!
Important piece from Don Norman about designing for the elderly 'I wrote a book on user-friendly design. What I see today horrifies me'

Of course! I know how hard it is to break into a new field. I’m happy to help 😊
That being said, anyone who’s looking for a great junior UX designer to join their team (or knows someone who is) my good friend Ed is eager to dive in and learn the ropes!
I’m on a personal mission to get UX people to stop using the phrase “user tests.”
We’re not testing the user. We’re testing the design.
The phrase I prefer is usability testing.
We must stop creating imagery that we’re running people through mazes to test their frustration.
The myth that bad credit or struggling w bills = irresponsibility is a heinous myth.
Paying people less than what’s needed to live is what’s actually irresponsible.
GDP + costs are rising, wages are not. That doesn’t mean YOU’RE bad. It means working people are set up to fail.
