@SebAaltonen I know you'd looked at Slang a while back for similar reasons-- wanted to note that we now have WebGPU / WGSL support (you can try it live at https://t.co/yDygUPpeXu )
@FlohOfWoe @SebAaltonen@DaKangz Looking at the commit history on it, I think it was probably added for use from Chrome and/or Skia, which might go some way to explaining user-facing docs being a bit scanty.
@SebAaltonen Chiming in here alongside @csyonghe -- we have started work on direct output of WGSL, and expect the first pieces to start landing soon. I'm interested in hearing about specific feature needs & timeline if you're willing to share (I am slang's program manager at NV).
@AdamdelCano @WheeBonnieLass@UrsulaV Later in the thread it's stated that it's only main branch that's read only, and development continues on branches. Beyond that, read-only doesn't stop anyone from drafting local changes, you just can't push upstream.
@pati_gallardo For me, flavors have sounds or pitches. I don't *hear* them, but I think "ah, yes, that's a very high-pitched flavor" or "this porter has a lot of bass". I sometimes describe flavors to other people this way but I don't think I really ever expected others to get it, I think?
