This is NOT about refund or money.
This is about how @IndiGo6E decides who gets to board and who doesn’t.
I was at the airport on time. The boarding gate was OPEN. I was ready to travel. Yet I was denied boarding just because the baggage counter had closed — with no alternative, no solution.
So even after reaching on time, your travel depends entirely on their rigid rules and decisions?
This feels less like a service and more like monopoly power — where the airline decides everything, and the passenger has no voice.
No flexibility. No empathy. Just “you cannot board.”
That’s not customer service. That’s control over consumers.

And even now, @IndiGo6E keeps repeating the same line: “baggage check-in is closed, so you cannot board.”
But how does that justify denying boarding when the boarding gate had just opened?
As per rules, boarding gates remain open till ~25 minutes before departure. I was there well before that. So why was I not allowed to board?
If the gate is open, passengers should be allowed — or at least given a reasonable solution.
This raises a serious question:
Was my seat already given to someone else?
Because otherwise, denying boarding despite being present on time and ready to travel makes no sense.
Passengers deserve clarity, not repetitive and insensitive responses.

Today’s experience with @IndiGo6E was extremely disappointing and felt like harassment as a consumer.
I reached the airport 55 minutes before my scheduled 2:45 AM Chennai → Delhi flight. The boarding gate was still open, which clearly means passengers are still being allowed to board.
However, I was denied boarding because the baggage counter had closed 1 hour prior. My hand baggage was just 3 kg over the 7 kg limit. I was willing to cooperate — I could have paid for the extra weight or adjusted — but I was given no option.
Instead, I was told: either leave your bag behind or don’t board.
Let’s be clear — no passenger can simply abandon their belongings at the airport. A reasonable solution would have been to charge for excess baggage or allow boarding since the gate was still open.
What makes this worse is that the flight actually departed early. If the departure time is 2:45 AM, passengers expect the flight to leave at that time — not earlier, leaving people behind despite being present before boarding closure.
Airlines expect passengers to adjust for delays of minutes, hours, even a full day — often without compensation. But when a passenger needs just a little flexibility, there is zero empathy.
To add to the frustration, I had a connecting Delhi → Gaya flight, which I also missed. When I asked for a resolution, I was told I would get no refund and had to pay ₹18,000 to reschedule. Calling that a “minimal charge” is unacceptable.
This is not customer service — this is rigid, one-sided policy enforcement with no regard for real-life situations.
Airlines must understand that rules are meant to serve people — not punish them.

Today I experienced what felt like pure consumer harassment by @IndiGo6E.
I reached the airport 55 minutes before my Chennai → Delhi flight. The boarding gate was still open, but the baggage counter had already closed. My hand baggage was just 3 kg over the allowed limit, and instead of offering any solution, I was simply denied boarding.
I was told to either leave my bag behind or not board at all. In that moment, abandoning my belongings wasn’t even an option. Despite being on time and ready to travel, I was left stranded.
To make things worse, I had a connecting flight to Gaya, which I also missed. When I asked for help or a refund, I was bluntly told I wouldn’t get anything and had to pay ₹18,000 to reschedule.
The most frustrating part? The flight itself departed early. When airlines delay, passengers are expected to adjust. But when a passenger needs a little flexibility, there is none.
This isn’t customer service — this is a one-sided system where policies override basic empathy.

Denied boarding despite being on time due to rigid policy by @IndiGo6E.
If baggage is not submitted 1 hour before departure, you are not allowed to board with your luggage — even if the boarding gate is still open.
No flexibility for just 3 kg extra, no solution, forced to miss flights and pay ₹18,000.
Feels more like harassment than customer service.

They could have let me board without the luggage, but instead focused only on the extra 3 kg over the 7 kg limit.
Such a small adjustment could have been made, but they chose not to.
A little flexibility could have avoided all this inconvenience.

They still did not let me board, even though I was on time and could have boarded the flight.
When I asked for a refund, I was simply told I won’t get even a single penny.
Is this fair treatment for passengers?

As a consumer, this feels unfair. When airlines delay flights by mins or hours, we adjust quietly.
But a few minutes here costs ₹18,000? Why is consumer time valued at ZERO while policies favour airlines?
No empathy. Just rigid rules.

I was told: leave the bag / give it to someone OR don’t board.
In that situation, I couldn’t just abandon my entire luggage.
No support. No alternative. Just “reschedule” — costing me ₹18,000.

My total hand baggage was 10 kg (3 kg over the 7 kg limit).
They said they cannot allow this extra 3 kg since baggage counter was closed — even though boarding gate was still open.

I also had a connecting flight Delhi → Gaya, so because of this situation, I ended up missing BOTH flights.
Despite being at the airport on time for boarding, I was not allowed to proceed.

Missed my Chennai → Delhi (2:45 AM) flight today and this was NOT okay. 😡
I reached the airport 55 mins before departure. Boarding gate was still OPEN, but baggage counter had already closed 1 hour prior.

5/ This affects many EV users who travel or don’t ride daily. If this is how Ola handles warranty cases, people deserve to know before buying.
Please do the right thing @OlaElectric@bhash@ola_supports
4/ My concern is not just about my case, but about transparency:
🔹 If EVs can’t sit idle for a few weeks, users should be clearly informed
🔹 If 0% discharge voids warranty, it should be clearly written
🔹 If this is normal behavior, it raises larger reliability questions
Hi @OlaElectric, @ola_supports I need help with a concerning issue.
My Ola S1X Plus (delivered Jan 2024) refused to charge after sitting unused for ~25 days with 28% battery. Service team now says the battery is dead and out of warranty — due to customer negligence.
