As someone who spent a couple of years sitting at the feet of Acharya' jee @Advait_Prashant (being a student) studying the Bhagavad Gita, something shifted irreversibly inside me: I can no longer watch religious traditions (any tradition, including my own Muslim heritage) harm children in the name of “spirituality” and stay silent.

Acharya taught us that true scripture is meant to liberate the mind, not imprison it; it is fire that burns ego, not a whip that breaks a child’s spirit. Every time I see these viral videos now (a little boy collapsing in tears after memorising the entire #Quran, adults cheering as if he’s been touched by God instead of pushed to the edge), something boils in me.

This is no longer “their problem” or “our beautiful tradition.”
This is my community still traumatising its children, century after century, and calling the tears “khushu” and the breakdown “love for Allah.”

I stayed quiet for too long out of guilt and fear of being labelled Islamophobic. No more.
If the Gita made me fall in love with truth, then truth now demands I speak when I see a 10-year-old’s childhood sacrificed on the altar of mechanical memorisation.

पिछले 4 दिनों में आचार्य प्रशांत के विरुद्ध लोकधर्मियों की गाली गलौज, हिंसात्मक भाषा और धमकियां पढ़ पढ़ कर एक बात तो अच्छे से समझ आ गई:

आचार्य प्रशांत ना हो तो धर्म ऐसों का ही बनकर रह जाएगा।

थोथा चना, बाजे घना।

आचार्य प्रशांत को अब दोगुनी तेजी से साथ मिलेगा, इन लोकधर्मियों ने अच्छा हुआ अपनी पोल खोल दी, नहीं तो लोगों को विश्वास था ये अच्छे लोग हैं।

पर ये तो पूरे ही नंगे होकर मां, बहन और मार पीट हत्या तक आ गए थे। महिला हो, कॉलेज छात्रा हो, बुजुर्ग हो, सबको इन संस्कृतिवादियों ने गालियों से ही नवाजा। हालांकि जब इन्हें मुंह तोड़ जवाब मिला तो इनके मुंह बंद ऐसे हुए कि कई लोग ट्विटर छोड़ कर ही भाग गए और कईयों ने प्रोफाइल प्राइवेट कर दी।

आज जब न्यूज वालों से पुष्टि कर दी है कि ये बस एक प्रोपेगेंडा था, ये लोग बिल में छुप गए हैं और बाहर नहीं निकल रहे हैं।

और आचार्य जी के गीता छात्रों के सीधे सहज सवालों का एक आदमी सही जवाब नहीं दे पाया, हां गाली की तीव्रता और बढ़ा दी इन अनपढ़ों ने।

अच्छा है, इन लोगों की औकात तो सामने आई
