Our Government Modernization Initiative will fix the things that have long been broken in our state government to more effectively serve Marylanders and streamline costs.
We anticipate that our efforts will save Maryland taxpayers $50 million in the current fiscal year alone.
Today we announced the bust of a crime ring that touched nearly every jurisdiction in the state.

Mary Pat Clarke passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by family after a brief illness.
She was a trailblazer, fighter, and impeccable public servant.
Her deep care for all things Baltimore, especially its people, is why I called her Council President for Life.
I took my time to process and articulate my thoughts. I’ve been reflecting on the strength of our community. Seeing neighbors come together with purpose, finding solutions, and holding onto their power this election means everything. #BaltimoreforDemocracy It’s these local, grassroots efforts in Baltimore that give me hope.
@kimKBaltimore I definitely wouldn't vote for Hogan. However, I've seen some of the work that you've done with community-based orgs in Baltimore and think it's great. You would have been a great replacement for Olszewski. It's challenging because some people only recognize party affiliation.
For the first time in history, the Senate will have two Black women serving at the same time.
Congratulations to Delaware's @LisaBRochester and Maryland's @AlsobrooksForMD on their #historic wins!
Here's to breaking more barriers. 💪🏽

If Larry Hogan can’t choose a side in the most clear-cut election of our lifetime — one where our democracy itself is on the line — then he cannot be trusted with a vote in the U.S. Senate.
We have to elect @AlsobrooksForMD.
