I just thought I’d let everyone know that I won’t be your average VTuber, at least not for the time being. There won’t be some huge debut or anything of the sort. So in the beginning, things will be a bit casual, and I’ll just be a person who uses a virtual/PNG character instead of, well, my IRL self to make content and interact with you all until I can afford the necessities (IF I can, no promises), though I will not engage in idol culture. I just thought I’d let you all know so you wouldn’t be disappointed or expect too much. Though I’m not sure if that really counts as a “VTuber”, feel free to correct me. Thank you all for understanding. 😊

@m0cabre Couldn't help it but comment. My job as an illustrator has been a blast for a decade until they decided we all should use AI because it's "better and faster". They now prioritize money over creativity, thus the artistic quality was dropped drastically along with burnouts ;;

In a few days, we move across the country and go back home to NYC.

We originally planned this move to prepare for the next chapter of our lives and be supported by family, with a plus one.

No plus one now. But, we are still preparing for a much needed reset in our life. Same plan, different circumstances.

My health is a lot better. Emotionally and mentally, there are good and there are bad days. Sometimes there’s a trigger, sometimes there isn’t. I’m learning grief and healing isn’t linear and that’s ok.

I still am not sure when I’ll be back but hopefully it’s soon. I miss my community. I miss normalcy.

That's why it's so important to know how long it takes you to complete the services you offer. That way you can plan your schedule and give clients a realistic deadline you know you can meet.
As long as the client knows when to expect their commission, you're free to play games and rest as much as you want, as long as you finish on time.

Being an artist is a job like any other. You've accepted people's money, so you have responsibilities. I don't understand why some artists think that because “art is just a luxury” they can take people's money without holding up their end of the agreement. If you do that, you're the one who's not taking your job seriously.
