We are about to see the most sustained aggressive attack on democracy the US have ever witnessed, and Trump will be firing the starting gun on the all out assault in his address to the nation tomorrow.

He is a man who can hear the drumbeat of accountability getting louder as each day passes and there’s no way he’s going to face it without an all out war.

I believe we are about to see the biggest stress test of the American system of government since the founding of the nation. Be in no doubt, he is about to deploy every lever of government and executive power to crush any possibility of Republicans losing in November.

This is NOT hyperbole, this is about to truly be the beginning of a fight for the soul of a nation, and one thing he’s going to attempt to convince his base on is ‘the communists are coming’ so I thought I might provide a sort of idiots guide to some isms.

THE RED SCARE IS A RED HERRING. It’s time to NOT be the Turkey voting for Thanksgiving.

In 2017, marine biologist Nan Hauser experienced an event that completely changed the way many people view animal intelligence and empathy. 💓✨

While conducting research in the ocean, Nan was approached by a massive humpback whale in a way she had never experienced before. The whale repeatedly nudged her with its snout, lifted her out of the water, shielded her under its pectoral fin, and even carried her on its head while trying to guide her back to the safety of her boat. At the time, she had no idea what was happening.

Until she saw a tiger shark nearby.

The whale wasn’t attacking her — it was protecting her.

This is just one of many documented cases showing that animals are capable of displaying far more emotionally complex behaviors than most people are willing to admit. Humpback whales, in particular, have been repeatedly observed intervening to protect not only humans, but also seals, dolphins, and many other marine species from predators like killer whales.
