President Zelensky’s warning should resonate far beyond Iran: when a regime can massacre its own people and survive, it sends a message to every authoritarian ruler that brutality works.

In his new op-ed, @justinforsyth asks why Britain’s progressive movement, so rightly committed to solidarity with Ukraine and other democratic struggles, has remained so hesitant to stand with the Iranian people.

As Zelensky put it: “Kill enough people and you stay in power.”

That cannot be the lesson the free world allows the Islamic Republic to learn.
