❗️It is likely that another strait in the Middle East will be closed (!).

A representative of the Yemeni movement "Ansar Allah" said that they will block the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait in support of Iran.

Bab-el-Mandeb is one of the most important maritime arteries in the world, no less important than the Strait of Hormuz.

It connects the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden and then with the Indian Ocean. Through this strait lies the road to the Suez Canal - the main route between Europe and Asia. The strait provides 10-12% of world trade and a significant part of the transportation of oil and gas.

If this main route between Europe, the Middle East and Asia is closed to ships, oil and gas prices will increase even more. Ships will be forced to take a longer route, around the Cape of Good Hope, and the delivery of goods will be extended by 10–20 days.
