How to Recognize a Whale Shark

1. Whale sharks have a wide, flat head with two small eyes at the front corners & five gill pairs.

2. Skin is dark grey w/ unique pale spots & stripes on white belly.

3. Prominent ridges start above and behind head & end at caudal peduncle.
