@Danger_Train Despite already having my own artist, I let my guard down and got talked into it. Looking back, my mistake was not consulting my artist before making a decision
made a huge mistake. A few days ago, an artist (who turned out to be a scammer) reached out to me. She was super friendly and talked to me like we were already close friends. I didn't think much of it and assumed she just wanted to connect, so we chatted for a couple of days.
Eventually, she started asking about my VTuber assets. I mentioned that most of my stuff was almost ready, except for a few emotes and an animation. She immediately offered to make them for me, saying she was an artist. I initially declined, telling her my main model artist was going to handle it, but she kept pushing until I finally gave in.
I ended up commissioning 12 emotes and an animation from her, which cost me around $500. But right after I sent the full payment, she blocked me on every platform. At first, I was completely shocked and confused, but then it hit me. I had been scammed. I'm lost on what to do now. I paid everything upfront, and I feel so guilty for letting my guard down.

@GnarlyEisley Rigging a model already takes so much brainpower on its own, doing it on top of a soul-crushing job is playing on hard mode. Don't beat yourself up, you'll get there
