@gfreeman2012 Just contact the General Register Office in Ireland (online). You just need to know their name and place of birth! I even got my grandmother’s first name wrong - she is actually Bridget not Della as I knew her and they worked it out! Very efficient!

@Headteacherchat We do a carousel of How to workshops one eve in July for parents - Numicon, Phonics, Bedtime reading, Learning outdoors, Parental involvement and Community. Our PTA provide wine and beer. We give parents a book, a Numicon set and a Phonic card set to go home with! Works well!

@branwenjeffreys @bbclaurak As a HT of 18yrs & having taught at my school for 30yrs, a judgement of RI would have been devastating. The inspector suggested that might be the case on day 1, and in the end we were graded OS in 4/5 areas and Good overall. Stressful and horrible experience. My 5th inspection.
