I'm excited to announce another TOTAL PATRIOT VICTORY.

About three years ago, the Texas Young Republican Federation abandoned the @TexasGOP over disputes with then-chairman @MattRinaldiTX. The Party formed a new youth auxiliary—the since highly successful @YRsOfTexas. In response, TYRF sued a dozen young Republicans individually claiming that TYRF (a bunch of RINOs, who didn't want to affiliate with the actual Republican Party) could control whether the dozen youngsters could call themselves "Young Republicans" and affiliate with the very Party that TYRF had abandoned.

TYRF said they were going to "SUE THEM TO DEATH" and "DRAG THEM IN THE GUTTER OF THE JUSTICE SYSTEM." I was glad to defend the dozen members and the new, party-affiliated YRs organization.

Today the Dallas Court of Appeals rendered judgment dismissing the last of TYRF's claims against the new organization and its members. Soon we'll go back to the trial court to see if we can collect attorney's fees against TYRF for the three years of litigation they imposed on a bunch of innocent young patriots.

As many of you know, I was involved with Young Conservatives of Texas and was never too keen on these legacy YR organizations. They seemed more interested in chasing their own tails and in petty identity battles than in advancing conservative principles or the Republican Party. I'm glad I was able to help defend YRT and its right to organize young activists who actually want to advance the GOP. It's long past time for these vindictive legacy organizations to fade away and for aggressive, constructive patriots to take up the mantle from them.

At the Texas GOP Convention in June, I was highly impressed with the event that YRT put on. There was a packed room for a bunch of rising GOP leaders. That's the energy we need in the party, not people who think they can control others' speech and then fail miserably as they try to abuse the legal system.

Kudos to @IsaacJLaster and the organization on the big win. Congrats also to @RealConbo who carried a lion's share of the work on this case and did an A+ job arguing the case at the court of appeals.

As a close ally of President @realDonaldTrump, I keep a close eye on all things Texas for him. I’ve chaired his Texas campaign three times now.

I’d like to set the record straight: Chip has never been a MAGA warrior, as he now claims.

Here are a few interesting observations I’ve made:

1. Chip said on tape that MAGA voters could kiss his a**
2. Chip campaigned with now-vanquished anti-Trump Congressman Thomas Massie
3. Chip supported anti-Trump Congresswoman Liz Cheney against the President
4. Chip supported President Trump’s impeachment
5. Chip has consistently played hardball with the President. In Congress, he’s held up the MAGA agenda over and over again to serve himself
6. President Trump calls him “3 AM Chip” because Chip would often call, telling the President he can’t support MAGA legislation

I don’t ever like calling someone a liar. It’s a harsh word. I’m certainly not calling Chip Roy a liar.

However, in the last few weeks of the campaign for AG, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 ����𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲. Let’s chalk it up to Chip’s failed memory. I simply want to set the record straight.

If you support President Trump, don’t be fooled. Chip is not and has never been for MAGA or for President Trump. Chip is desperate for Trump and Paxton voters’ support and is desperately rewriting history to cover up his actions.

@KenPaxtonTX and I are both MAGA Republicans and true allies of President Trump. 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐆.

@Mayes_Middleton will work seamlessly with both Ken Paxton and the President. Chip Roy has worked against President Trump and AG Paxton for a decade.
