Great night listening to @michaelscaines talking to @GerriKimber about her new book on Katherine Mansfield, A Hidden Life @hatchardspiccadilly.
And doubly great to meet up with @KatyaTaylor .
Writers meeting writers, my favourite way to spend a Tuesday evening in London.

Great evening listening to Gerri Kimber talking to Michael Caines from TLS about her book, Katherine Mansfield, A Hidden Life @hatchardspiccadilly. A writer I’ve long wanted to know more about and now I’m back on the train up north reading it.
@RealGeoffBarton Trying to contact you Geoff in your role as Chair of the Oracy Commission. I am writing an article for the new Baby Wolf Newspaper led by author, Horatio Clare and would like your thoughts on declining Oracy skills
So delighted that @LittleToller have published my essay on The Clearing: The Lost Dens of Leicester today.
For all those of us that hid in homemade dens in the 60s this is for you ❤️
@jeffyoungwriter @joemoransblog @LittleToller Definitely coming and hoping might be a chance go talk to you both as trying to write a memoir of sorts about my mums hard life as a sock linker in Leicester.
Do you have any time to chat?
I used to teach English at The Blue Coat in Liverpool-but now retired

@StuHennigan @DahliaBooks Hello
I must find out about Gardners as I’m sure I’m listed with them but they haven’t asked for any of my books??
I’m writing about Leicester now, my home town in the 60s and 70s and it’s a memoir about my mums life as a sock linker. Hope both of you will be interested??

@NatalieAHood So awfully sad. When all the friends have passed before and it’s just care home staff who never knew them when mum looked like your mum,bee hived, powdered proud. I am writing her memoir to remember how she was.
Thinking of you and your mum as she was.
