Robert Louis Stevenson's "David Balfour," the last of his classic writings I have to get through before I move on to the next series of books I have planned.
@TiffeDraft I wouldn't say stuck. More like "letting it stew on the backburner a little longer." Fortunately, I have another little story I'm working on that's flowing much easier.
It's a fair list. Certainly wheedles down your selection greatly. I wouldn't automatically discount a book if not all of your criteria is met. But that's just me.
Fav pizza topping: Pepperoni. Yeah, I know, kinda plain Jane. But if your pepperoni tastes like crap, then I've no hop for the rest of your pizza.
St. Mark Ji Tianxiang. A lifelong opium addict, denied confession by his priest b/c he believed Mark wasn't trying hard enough to stop, so for decades Mark would go to Mass yet not be able to receive the Eucharist. During the Boxer Rebellion, he requested to die last to encourage his family members to remain faithful as they were all martyred, then he was martyred as well. Love this story because it shows how even someone mired in deep sin can still persevere into Paradise.
@DNicholsAuthor "He regretted what he was about to do as he loomed over her still, sleeping form."
And no, get those dirty thoughts out of your mind. This is a tragedy.
@TheGrumpySensei Ok, now getting what you mean. And, not sure. I'm still figuring it out myself. I aim for releasing one book a year, build up a little back catalog, and then I'll start putting more money into marketing beyond the initial launch.
