It becomes full circle for Haas graduate and former Cal QB Fernando Mendoza
The Raiders QB and No. 1 overall draft pick, who got his UC Berkeley undergrad degree at Haas, was finally able to walk at today's commencement at the Greek Theater
@MACagendapusher I loved taking the free bus between Cal and Davis when I was at Berkeley. I called it “my school-away-from-school” and have fond memories of uncovering the UC reciprocity of meal passes, gym passes and library cards among our campuses with my Aggie friends.
@MACagendapusher From Wikipedia:
“Sharing faculty meant that the two campuses have always had an amicable relationship, in that Davis gradually developed its own strong identity while remaining proud of its older sibling.”
@WCCSG_ B1G is the craziest because it was the first to open up this can of worms. The other conferences are just following the trail that the B1G blazed.
@AdmiralBear01@bearsandgiants Exactly. Beating ‘SC in week 5 of ‘04 would have made us #1 in their place, at least by season’s end. We would have had a better win than #2 Auburn or #3 Oklahoma. We’d have been outright Pac10 champs and gone to the Rose Bowl.
@AdmiralBear01@rob11hwang Probably flew into OAK for Gameday and SFO for the SuperBowl, although the views of GGB from Memorial probably should have clued him in.
