I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier. This has been a primary topic of discussions we've had at OpenAI in recent weeks.
Committing to having independent evaluators with employee-like access is a great idea, and we will do the same. We'll have more to share soon.
Namaskaram,
With a very heavy heart, we share the below update for all the well wishers of the Kailash Sojourn's group, which was at the Gyirong Port at the time of the devastating calamity.
As we continue to monitor the situation, Sadhguru and the whole Isha community stand in solidarity with the families of the 80 participants and all others affected in this unimaginably difficult time.

#WATCH | Nepal: On several pilgrims and volunteers of Isha Foundation's Sacred Walks (Kailash Mansarovar Yatra) missing or stranded in Nepal amid the flood situation, Maa Gambhiri, Coordinator at Isha Sacred Walks, says, "We haven't been able to establish contact yet because there was a massive flood. All communication lines are down, and we cannot reach anyone on the ground. We are just waiting to hear back from the authorities with some information... hoping to find out something by tomorrow morning."
She adds, "We have 21 groups traveling to Kailash Mansarovar this year. Many have already successfully completed their pilgrimage, while others are currently en route, and some are just about to start. This specific group had already finished their journey and was heading back to Kathmandu this morning after clearing Tibetan immigration. There were 77 pilgrims who had reached the immigration center. The group leader was named Praveen. One of our team members spoke to him at 9:05 AM. However, when we tried to contact him again ten minutes later, we couldn't get through to him or anyone else. It seems the incident occurred within those ten minutes. We had no prior information or inkling that anything was amiss; everything seemed completely normal during our conversation, and this happened quite suddenly... There was no warning, no indication; nothing was communicated. This accident happened suddenly..."
We are edging closer toward a dramatically extended healthspan — where 100 is the new 60. What will you create, where will you explore, and how will you spend your time if you are able to add an additional 40 healthy years to your life?
The tax on technology in Brazil is absolutely insane.
I had a friend from Brazil visit me in NYC recently. He flew here to buy a Macbook.
It was cheaper for him to buy a round-trip ticket to NYC, buy the laptop here, and fly back than it was to buy it in Brazil.
WTF?
Apparently @azure isn't content to remain number 2 in cloud; they're striking at the heart of @awscloud's core competency of giving bad names to things:

Today in Zoom teaching: my chair broke mid sentence and I instantly disappeared from the frame while attempting to explain how TCP deals with lost packets. I think some of the students thought this was some kind of confusing visual aid.
