Helen Whately got a pay rise this year of £4,695
Disabled people in UC health element get £10,256.40 per year.
So Helen's pay rise is nearly half of what a disabled person gets per year.
Yet, we are the problem? Get out of here.
Every panellist on Question Time tonight was peddling the lie that we have to cut Welfare to spend it on Defence
The Welfare budget is the same percentage as it has always been, the military budget the highest in 50 years
Tax billionaires or make do, like everything else has to
The Tories and the Labour right know that most of the public do not know about this, they want the public to continue thinking there have been no welfare cuts, so they can make more cuts. So you need to spread this information as much as possible.
A weapon designed to specifically maim and kill children.
Illegal under the Geneva Conventions for numerous reasons, including being disguised as an ordinary object, and being specifically targeted against civilians.
A War Crime of the highest order.
Just words.
Not job opportunities.
A few places in the UK have low rates of applicants per vacancy.
Most have huge numbers of applicants.
A person with any disability isnt going to be selected ahead of a healthy person.
Last-in first-out, with 1.8m healthy abled people.
Wales is rich in natural resources, so why aren't our communities seeing the benefits? 🤔
Plaid Cymru is fighting to devolve the Crown Estate - so the profits can be invested back into Welsh communities 🏴
Disabled people "parked" on benefits shows your contempt for us!
In your imaginary "System" where do you examine the role of Businesses in refusing to employ the Disabled?
That there are 2× more unemployed to available jobs!
Get a f'ing Grip Fools! 🤬♿
Most disabled people were not born disabled. Around 80% acquire disability through illness, injury or accident. Disability can happen to your child, partner, parent, friend or you.
Demonising disabled people is ultimately demonising all people.
@premnsikka@1kilroywashere £23bn would be a 50% arbitrary cut. This is just performative cruelty. Although having watched Labour for the past two years, at least under the Tories there was solidarity and hope — we could see a light at the end of a tunnel and told ourselves that it wasn't an oncoming train.
Tories launch disability benefits review to cut welfare bill by £23bn.
The Party that gave us the longest ever queue for the NHS, privatised water, energy, social care, is gunning for the disabled.
Silence on corporate welfare, tax abuse, compassion.

Always worth remembering that eugenics starts with fomenting hate against the sick and disabled, the 'useless eaters', as the Nazis called them. They're the first target, and never the last. Canaries are singing loud and clear in the coal mines. We should be attending to them.

Dear Sir Lindsay,
Helen Whately is misleading the House. No one EVER got a Motability car for tennis elbow or acne. She presents no evidence because there is none. She is lying to whip up hatred of disabled people. Please refer her to the Privileges Committee.
The DWP has literally spent over £3.5 BILLION and managed to get a whopping 3% of disabled people into work.
Whilst simultaneously CUTTING Access to Work support which has resulted in far more than those 3% actually losing their jobs.
So this is complete bollocks and gaslighting
The DWP was more than happy for disabled people to be demonised, abused and harassed before stating the following about the rise in UC claims was actually due to existing claimants being forced to migrate from legacy benefits like ESA.
This was entirely deliberate and a clear example of the abuse this government was happy to enable towards us.
@tracybernedett1@Undorkins@JackDunc1 I mean the UK government is spending taxpayer money sending weapons to Israel and flying over Gaza to supply Israel with intelligence.
So if you suggest black people should be "melted down and used to fill potholes" you get elected a Reform councillor, but if you say "please stop killing Palestinians" you get called antisemitic and the government calls a cobra meeting. 🫠
I’ve been pointing this out for months, nobody seems to be able to come up with the answer to the question of who is actually going to employ either young disabled people or disabled people in general for that matter, considering there is a surplus of available non-disabled people ready to work. Many of whom are in fact desperate to find employment.
If a Green candidate called for Jews to be melted down and used to fill pot holes, Keir Starmer would call a Cobra meeting and proscribe the Green Party, but a Reform candidate can say that about Nigerians and silence. This is what we mean when we say there is a racism hierarchy.
Labour was formed to represent the working class, not working people.
The working class includes those too young, ill, or disabled to work, it also includes the elderly.
This makes me sick to the pit of my stomach. Arbitrary age limits are discriminatory. Young people who have significant impairments will have LESS independence and LESS ability to participate in society. This is a disgusting policy.
