A person I know earned ₹48 lakh last financial year and paid close to ₹9.4 lakh in income tax.
He lost his job in December and now has to pay taxes at one of the most vulnerable times of his life.
India has almost no social security. No matter how much tax you pay, the moment you lose your job, the government won't support you.
Instead, the same tax money is redirected into freebie schemes where the priority is distributing ₹2,000 or ₹4,000 to different voter groups.
No wonder brain drain is at its highest.
@DTDCIndia booked a PREMIUM package (1 day delivery) from Bangalore to Pune.Item picked up on Thursday. It is still at the processing centre in Pune. Despite multiple calls, only fake promises are being made.Someone had to take a flight today with that item urgently.Disappointed.
10days ago at 8.48 am I got a call from my sister while I was sitting in OT and patient was being shifted to OT table. 1st call and I could here only she in calling my name and disconnected. Normally I don't pick calls in morning when inside OT but that day I picked.
@aspirant_shruti@ridhimishra9806 Honestly, I haven’t done any courses as I have seen CA’s getting preferred over other professionals for taxation anyway. Someone did suggest that ADIT is good for broadening your horizon and fitting into better roles outside India.
Morning it was Ed Sheeran, by evening Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, and now people bashing Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina. So much in a single day. Proof that you can never get bored or run out of content in India!
@chiragbarjatya Dubai is anyday a better place to move in terms of quality of living, infrastructure, savings, accessibility, safety amongst other reasons. Not sure about marketing but in general, after living in Dubai, you start noticing how your taxes are doing no good to you in India.
Have been a Coldplay fangirl for AGES and fighting with scalpers and hoarders for a band I love so much was super tiring. FINALLY after a long war, got my hands on Abu Dhabi tickets and I’m super excited 🧿 #ColdplayAbuDhabi#Coldplay2025
