Exploring the land and life in the arctic with grade 1/2 students. Love the creative use of loose parts and imagination….trees became Inukshuks, black bears were polar bears, penguins were people! #WeAreCBE @bowcroftcbe
@dcpye@YouTube I am so sorry Dan. It is so hard…. I too wish I had heard this before. I have lost both my parents and have often wondered about how they felt or what they experienced in their last moments. Thank you for sharing with me.
"PIG" is a well-known, much loved game and a student and teacher favourite. It keeps our students engaged and working during even the most exciting times!
This game focuses on addition to 100 and includes an element of risk, which makes it so much fun!

Pumpkin investigation! S’s in 1/2 learned about pumpkins, their lifecycle and the food we make from them. We estimated how many seeds would be inside and then scooped them out and counted them during counting collections! @bowcroftcbe #WeAreCBE
S’s in Gr 1/2 explored how it feels to belong, what groups they belong to, where they belong and how they can make others feel like they are apart of our group @bowcroftcbe #WeAreCBE
@Ms_MHumphrey @HeggertyPA For intervention I usually just focus on a couple skills at a time from the book or I just pull some other lists to use. Kilpatrick 1 minute drills are great for intervention, but many of my kiddos have needed to work on isolating BME sounds & kilpatrick does not have the skill
Did a #pairedtext analysis of visual texts with Ss today to explore the conflict in Ukraine. Let’s dive in! 🤿 #LTT
Prompt: Compare/contrast how & why Putin & Zelensky use different styles of multimodal design to communicate with the public.
