Another sign, following the Bovaer nonsense, that we’re in danger of following the US down the anti-science woowoo path - because health disinformation is an extremely profitable business https://t.co/U6dqL9vwoP
URGENT! Pls share. The last chance to register to vote in the General Election is 11.59pm tomorrow Tue 18 June. Potentially 8m aren't registered at their current address. Here's 4 key facts...
1) You can do it online here https://t.co/i4FhJoAXfK
2) It's good for your finances. Not being on electoral roll can make it more difficult to be accepted for credit products like bank accounts or mortgages.
3) You can opt out of the 'Open Register' (which allows your info to be sold on) which will stop you getting junk mail marketing )
4) You'll need ID when you do vote (not to register) if you don't have it, you can get it free until Wed 26 June https://t.co/9bfL3hw3CV
General Election Voting Info
Pls share
1. Register to vote. If you're not registered, you must do it by 18 June for the General Election. https://t.co/yQR5rF1yNn
2. Voting in person? You need valid photo ID. Check if yours is valid https://t.co/nIuoR7yYFX
3. Apply for postal vote by 19 June. If you'll be away, or want a postal vote do it here... https://t.co/jD5LdADmza
The timing of the election might cause problems for some, esp students coming to the end of term or those who have holidays booked (whoever they intend to vote for). The solution is to apply for a postal vote. Here’s the link to do so. Please share.

My thoughts on the ‘why’ of the above:
2m in the UK with LC.
The other 58m want to believe Covid is over.
Talking about Long Covid is seen as scaremongering. It’s not a vote winner, unfortunately.
Same in the US I expect - especially in an election year for both.
Ok @guardian. Why are you publishing this unscientific, damaging, discriminatory rubbish? Why the wholly misleading headline? Why on #LongCovidAwarenessDay of all days? You have some serious explaining - & apologising - to do 🧵

@rachelburden thanks for highlighting long covid in your always excellent show. I have a chronic autoimmune condition following Covid (3 years and counting) please ignore the doubters- I got Covid before vaccines were available. It’s been a very rough 3 years without much help
Flowers For Mrs. Harris, what a lovely way to spend an afternoon with @jennarusselluk , just phenomenal! I laughed and cried Thank you @MrsHarrisLDN!!!
Answer: No.
Unless you completely discount the risk of Long Covid (in all its forms) and other consequential cardiovascular mayhem.
This is not a narrative (or indeed article) that pleases me.
