Major market radio vet: play by play/voiceover. WSMI News Dir. Pronouns. He/Him/That Guy/Dude/Strange Visitor From Another Planet. love the road! History geek.
@BarstoolGruden Hi Coach! Would love to do an interview on Kyle Dixon from the Hula Bowl and I thought of your love for the NAIA. Radio guy out of the STL. I didn’t think the barstool link would be the right one
@MebaRackentyre I wish I had a friend like you, someone who makes you think, laugh etc. I have so many fake and fair weather friends, I thought about accommodating them by having my birthday yesterday at an escape room
@tracywolfson It’s so much tougher to do your gig then people realize. I cringe when I hear an athlete or coach get interviewed because I know it will be a carpet bombing campaign of one game at a time cliches. You cut through that ice. In a super loud, crowded environment you get them to >

Butch Yatkeman, equipment manager for the Cardinals, served the team for an incredible 59 years!
He started as a batboy in 1924 when he was 16 years-old and was elevated to the equipment manager 4 years later.
He was going to retire after the 1981 season, but was convinced by Whitey Herzog to stay one more year, and of course it was a World Series championship
season.
He was one of the first clubhouse managers to be honored with a plaque in the Baseball Hall of Fame's library.
Butch was an inaugural member of the Major League Baseball Clubhouse Managers Association Hall of Fame.
When all was said and done, Butch was with the team for an astonishing 13 NL pennant winners and 9 World Series championships!! 👀
Butch passed away at the age of 91 on January 22, 2000.

@AmbJohnBolton I saw the college student uprising and I thought we can’t get them small arms? It’s not like there’s a Mujhadeen Stinger missiles used against us scenario
#tbt: Years later and people still come up to me and call me Pedro Cerrano! We had such a fun time shooting Major League. What is your favorite scene in the movie?
Super Sky Point to Ted Turner, who pulled arguably the all-time greatest narcissistic team owner move ever in 1977 when he got fed up and just named himself the Braves’ manager. Career record: 0-1. Tell St. Peter you’ll be there at :05 after the hour, big guy. #RIP
