@Bluntteh No. Because the world has become much more dangerous than it was even 30 years ago. There are gangs and cartels more powerful than the governments they live under.
And criminals have a belief that they won't get caught, or turned in, because people are afraid to stand up.

@AshFennix @markh110 @Charalanahzard It used to be normal for a gun, or multiple guns in every home in America. And when it was normal, crime was drastically lower. Criminals knew that a home was armed, and that was enough. Whole neighborhoods and towns looked out for each other. And criminals knew that as well.

@NikoDomiNiko @markh110 @Charalanahzard That's not true. In my training, you try every single option you can before you draw your weapon. And then try again with the persuasion of the gun.
And if the threat is imminent, and if you have a chance, just discharging the gun is 96% affective enough to prove you are ready.
