CS PD Week class of '23 was a success! Over 300 educators gathered at UNI last week to participate in professional learning to help expand CS education across the state. There was a mix of familiar and new faces, and we are excited to continue strengthening CS in IA! #cs4ia
Our sincere condolences go to the family and countless friends of Lisa Brinkmeyer VanDeventer on her passing. Lisa is an Iowa icon who we were fortunate to work closely with via @IGHSAU and will greatly miss.

Our 2-4 students were part of a CodeJoy-Haunted House session.
During our live, virtual sessions, students learn to code motors, LEDs, and sensors. Then, their code controls the remote cardboard robots, live! Through the video system, we can engage a single classroom/whole school
It was hard to get this track starter to stop for a picture but we were able to present HOF official/track starter Rollie Wiebers with his official appreciation certificate during the @IGHSAU@IHSAA@NFHS_Org national official appreciation week!
The Computer Science Interest Based students took a field trip to IP. We learned all about the robot designed and programmed by Cash B. & Joseph B. Cash showed us how to drive the robot. The students had an opportunity to drive the robot around the Community Room at the CREW.
