Looking at autism representation in scripted media: the good, the bad and the awful! With special guests @annieelainey and @MiffedCrew_Real
So excited to share this one with you, lots of love and research went into it ๐

@AtypicalPsych It's not difficult to understand, really. As a group they are prone to conspiracy theories, fanatical religion and a very strong sense of individualism.
@daenerysamidala Yes, I have that problem. Some days are better or worse than others. I don't throw things across the room deliberately but depending on how small or light something is it may travel a few feet.
@DeniselxN@keithbaldrey Nobody is interfering with a belief. Christians seem to think they are being discriminated against when their beliefs are not the basis for public policies and laws. Some beliefs make some people unsuitable for some positions. I would make a terrible priest.
Im looking to talk to BIPOC academics in autism research (preferably outside the UK) who are at least 3 years post-doc, and interested in an editorial opportunity. Please rt/share with people you think might be interested
@alexandrasaurus @autisticb4mmr Execut5ive function difficulties impact my life. I have accidents because my brain and body are not in the same place at the same time. I can't get to sleep because I am mentally writing 2 essays, rehearsing a conversation and repeating the lyrics of a song.
@Trogdorburn @MsJayTeeR @ClumsyKitten143 You might be confusing autism with intellectual disability. They can co-exist but the latter is not the former. You are also misinformed about what the diagnostic criteria are and seem to believe there are those with a diagnosis who merely have some defective social skills.
@Trogdorburn @MsJayTeeR @ClumsyKitten143 You seem to be saying that it is ridiculous for autistic people to reject the terms non-autistic people pick for them. You say 'If we pick'....'you'll claim' but you are not being asked to pick a new name.
