In Valletta, today I opened the first conference in the @MFTmalta Malta Convener Series - Children and Armed Conflict: A Critical Component of the Emerging Global Peace and Human Security Framework - co-sponsored by @childreninwar @_VanessaFrazier.

Reaffirming Malta’s belief that, even in a fragmented environment, there is space and a need for dialogue that is focused, inclusive, and forward-looking.

Earlier today I held a productive bilateral meeting in Cairo with H.E. Dr Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Our discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding ties between Malta and Egypt and deepening cooperation in areas of interest.

Malta values Egypt’s important role in facilitating, promoting and advancing the peace agreement signed in Sharm El-Sheikh.
