For too long, Indianapolis has been ignored by the state.
I'm running for State Senate in order to lower our gas and energy prizes, fight crime, and improve our roads and infrastructure.

Cost of living in the U.S. has risen 6.3% year over year, grocery prices have risen 13.5%, and in less than three months, Hoosiers will be paying their exorbitant winter heating bills.
The state of Indiana must be making moves now to protect vulnerable Hoosiers.
As the home ownership gap grows, a new report from the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana finds a significant drop in the number of FHA loans - meant for lower income and first time homebuyers - in Marion County. https://t.co/X1H2iHJifY via @JillASheridan
This is fantastic news. Too many Hoosier families are hurting under the burden of inflation and recession. I totally endorse efforts to ease this burden.

Our disabled veterans who have sacrificed to keep us free should be given first class treatment.
That’s why I authored legislation that passed the Senate 100-0 authorizing disabled military veterans to speed through airport security lines at no extra cost https://t.co/uqHypO01E2
This is a great step forward for the east side, but the state still has no plans to develop this site into something functional and productive for the neighborhood. As your state senator, I would ensure that this did not get forgotten again.

I don't know what to say other than this is completely unacceptable. Already, Hoosiers have seen huge increases in their energy bills, and now AES asks for another price hike.
The economy is crashing. Working people are hurting. Now is not the time.

IHA has suffered from mismanagement for far too long, and the victims are Indy’s most vulnerable citizens.
While I usually resist state intervention in local matters, we cannot allow our neighbors to suffer due to this mismanagement. Someone in the city or state must step in.
While you’re sweltering in the heat today — low-income residents in Indianapolis Housing Authority properties have gone without A/C. And that’s just one of many issues

On this Memorial Day, it is appropriate to pause and remember the cost of the freedoms and privileges that have been fought and sacrificed for throughout our history. We take this day to honor our fallen, and redouble our efforts to make their sacrifice deserved.
It has come to my attention that Jim Richter, known around Indianapolis as “The Broom Guy” has passed away.
When I was growing up in Indy, Mr. Richter was a fixture of our city. He was always kind and friendly. I feel like a part of our city has been lost.

On Monday, the @CityofFortWayne announced that the Emergency Rental Assistance Program has closed. Renters requiring rent and utility assistance can now apply to @IHCDA's IERA program by calling 211 or visiting https://t.co/r0h2hnPqcL https://t.co/PceNd0LSFR
Indiana gas taxes just went up by 10% to 24¢ a gallon and is now the highest in state history.
Hoosier families are struggling, and Indiana counted a $5.1 billion surplus last year.
It's past time to give working Hoosiers a break and cut the gas tax.
