Dr Heinz Strobel, the contributor of a much-loved image from the book, sadly died a month ago. His beautiful image of a shepherd standing calmly in the snow was part of the inspiration for this project. We send our thoughts and sympathies to his family and friends. @Moreduncomms

Thanks to Ken Pettey & Pertti Hankonen for this contribution to the book! The Grey Finnish Landrace sheep seemed extinct until some were found in Kainuu in mid 1980s. A breeding programme began and there are now more than 1000 Kainuunharmas sheep. @Sheepvetsoc @Moreduncomms
